     I have the GenX2 add on for G3, and all the other add ons, so can transfer between Gen4 , G1, G2 and G3. I guess most people transfer older generations to G3 but I like to go the other way around;) Now picking up all the G3 morph packs when on heavy sale:)) My G1 morphs list is getting rather extensive by now...

    in studio I dialed up HD morph of 4 (1 is the standard) just for fun.

    in Carrara had issue with eyebrows ?????? when I posed the dog I guess I should have hid them in studio  (edit: it was the eyelashes)

    interestingly you can use the hd on other dog breeds - so french bulldog with benjiy hd morph

    I had a few goes with the bulldog today before I got it right..

    with the whiskers they also have to be converted to blended weight and then add the transparency in Carrara

    I found also that the pose has to be in the default position otherwise the bones go off somewhere else

    after experimenting a few times  I managed to get it..

     Swapped the G1 basic female for the G3F shape and a tad V7. About 50% Analeigh head used. Tokyo Stroll for G2F top and Devil May for G3F base&bun. The G3 clones are so much better than the G2 ones so I prefer to use G3, generally. The textures are the original Analeigh, though.

    Thank you. I only know how to use textures from other generations. How did you you transfer G3 shape to Genesis? I really like her profile (and the render.)

    I am told:

    DzMorphLoaderBatch and DzMorphLoader ARE the "Morph Loader Pro" backend - the "Morph Loader Pro" dialog literally uses these classes and provides a UI to control it.

    Yeah, that's what I was thinking, but thanks for the confirmation. Just today I was learning how to automate saving morphs (following the sample script in the documentation), and in that case I'm able to call the UI options for saving via the script, and then have the script print which settings were changed by the UI options. So my problem with the Morph Loader Pro boils down to not being able to call its UI via script, and thus not seeing which settings "Attenuate by" affects.
    Though either way my manual workaround does the exact same thing as the "Attenuate by" in MLP, so doing it the hard way actually taught me more. Finally ready to put all pieces together and finish my script. Thanks again!

     1. It sounds like you may have missed putting the figure to base resolution. And yes for the G8 figures, no eyelashes.

    For the Windows edition, yes when you open D/S, under Edit there should be the option to start Headshop. Check through the provided readme instructions for installation.

    And yeah, I was aware of those (I had been using the import_obj_morph_loader_silent as a reference), but technically your statement was that the "Morph Loader Pro" (rather than just Morph Loader) wasn't exposed to scripting, and I think that's technically correct (at least I currently don't know how to run "Morph Loader Pro" itself via Daz scripting).
    As I detailed in my previous post, my issue boils down to not knowing how to feed a "Morph Loader Pro" setting into DzMorphLoader.

    I am told:

     What "names" are you referring to?

    Once the placeholder files have been removed, the corresponding G8 expressions will appear in the G8.1 properties tab and all the G8 expressions calling those G8 expressions do start to work - Provided of course that you are using DS 4.15 and not some older version of DS.

  • help with G8M morph character's wonky legs...

    Select "Show Hidden" in the Parameters-Tab, drop down menu (right-click) or Pane Options (Four horizontal lines) -> Preferences -> Show Hidden.

    Now look at what's used

    That's probably some (hidden) correction morph that doesn't play well with your other morphs, not that uncommon.

    Once you find the culprit, you can use the gogwheel (open the properties) on the dial to make it not follow automatically the morph or movement it was assigned to.

  • help with G8M morph character's wonky legs...

    i was dialing morphs yesterday and i got a character i really like but as you can see in the picture, his legs around his knee looks bad. 

    i'm trying to see if it is an issue with a morph but i havent ' had any luck. 

    i rather not have to pose the camera so this isn't an issue. 

    does anyone have any advice to fix this?

    Either you imported an incomplete mesh or you're exporting more than the imported obj garment. Import the morph from MD as an obj in Daz to check the latter. For the former try loading the base model back as a morph in Daz to check if they match.

  • How to remove animation from scene?

    There is.  I've had to do this a number of times, when I was building animations that begin at the end of the previous sequence; due to time and resource constraints, I only generate 20-second (or so) clips, and piece them together in a video-editing application.  Here's my sequence:

    1. Advance the timeline to the frame you want;

    2. Go to the Scene tab, and select everything in the scene (click the first item, then shift-click the last one; that will select all objects in the scene.)

    3. Right-click in the Scene tab's tree-view; from the fly-out menu, select 'Select', and from that menu, select 'Select Children'.  This will select absolutely everything in the scene, including child objects and parameter values;

    4. From the Edit menu, select 'Object->Memorize->Memorize Selected Item(s)';

    5. On the Timeline pane, change the Total Frames value to 1; this will clear the animation;

    6. Back to the Edit menu, select 'Object->Restore->Restore Selected Item(s)

    You will end up with a single frame containing everything that was in the original frame you copied.  Make sure you save it under a different name!

    Oh, the TRIBULATIONS you just saved me Ken... THANK YOU!

    EDIT: There is a side effect to this that seems to be simply based on how DS stores values when you memorize the trans & rotation values for an object, as well as morph sliders. All of the parameter default values (which in most cases are usually zero) get over-written with the current values from the scene you memorized. I find this annoying, because I rely on the color change of values from gray to white when it's off the default - gives me a quick way to see what's going on... which is the point of the color change in the first place. I would prefer that Daz create a separate set of variables to store the parameter values when you Memorize the item(s) and then recall later. Or at least have a function to "re-zero" the normal defaults afterward, which would probably take less coding.
