  • A stonemason plant package

I put in this request to another vendor, A. Pestryakov, for this without positive response, so I'm suggesting for you a Mediterranean group of trees, poplar, cypress and especially(!) olive. What we have for Poser or Daz is not of the highest quality.

I do not now if Predatron has some of such trees, his tree sets are great have most of them.

Holy smoke. The olive trees could be better, yes? Check out the quality of the olive trees available for Vue and compare. I own his poplar set, better would indeed be better. His cypress trees may look o.k. but there are many different kinds and shapes which Pestryakov is so good at!  How many different sets of jeans are there in the store, how many different rocket ships. etc, etc. To limit customers to one version of something is not fair. Who would want to use V3 or M3 now?

  • Suggestion for Andrey Pestryakov

I agree Andrey Pestryakov does a beautiful job with foliage and I would love to see some more trees from him.

However, in the meantime Olive trees, Poplars and cypress are available from Predatron:

How about a set of trees from the Mediterranean, especially Olive, Poplar and Cypress?

  • Items marked for Poser don't work properly in Poser

I bought some flower and tree props by Andrey Pestryakov because they were marked working in Poser (not dson), and while they work fine in Studio they don't work properly in Poser at all.  Once moved away from 0,0,0 where they load rotating them makes them rotate wildly in space, the further away from 0,0,0 the bigger the orbit. Moreover, their x, y and z axes are all off so that moving them with the ztrans dial for example causes them to move diagonally instead of in and out from the main camera's point of view. So they are practically unusable. I'd like to use them as they are very nice. Is there any way to fix this? Using Poser Pro 2014.

  • Vram usage

The pascal's could be some time away, and I suspect will be pretty expensive to start with. However when they do arrive the prices of the older cards may drop, so a 980 would become more affordable. From what I have read however, a pascal card would be very nice :-)

Since I do not play games I use the motherboard GPU as my display, I see little difference when looking at the screen through the GPU card.

I do not have the London set, but I would imagine it uses a fair few resources given the incredible detail of that set. One HD character will use up more memory, but remember that textures tend to use up the majority of the GPU memory, not polygons. One set I have which my card struggles with is Andrey Pestryakov Forest sets, which are also very detailed.

Andrey Pestryakov did a great job on this Iray nature scene named Grotto (cave)  .  Nice attention to detail and the hint of exploration possibilities beckons.

  • please give advice or help

First Bastion, Stonemason, and Andrey Pestryakov are three great artists with great products (click PA to see product). I know that Stonemason has Iray presets for his stuff, not sure of the others.

  • Above the Fog for Iray and 3Delight looks pretty cool ...

I tend to get testy if renders go over an hour, lol. My preferred environments and lights are the Easy Environment by FlipMode. I've also used the swamp product by Andrey Pestryakov, again with EE lights.

I also learned if I do spot renders, saved as pngs, it goes much faster than if I rendered the full 5000-pixel wide scene at once. I can then piece them back together in photoshop. I use the thirds guide as a way of making sure I don't skip any areas.

  • Easy Environments by Flipmode - great stuff

I also would like to have a swamp or jungle or forest EE (hin, hint, hint)! A. Pestryakov's swamp is a jewel, but it is really very, very big...

  • Easy Environments by Flipmode - great stuff

Just wanted to pop in to say once again how much I love the light sets that come with the EE sets. They work excellent with Above the Fog for Iray and 3Delight by Marshian. I used the swamp product by Andrey Pestryakov; http://www.daz3d.com/nature-swamp (only because there is not an EE swamp, yet --- hint/hint --- P's is so hard on my system, but it does look great) and EE Greenlands lights. The fog set recommends Age Of Armour's Advanced Ambient Light, but I hate messing with lights so was hoping the EE lights were going to work and they work great. I also really liked the way DimensionTheory's Shades Of Life - Nature, too. Really gave it an organic stone feel rather than looking smooth like tights.

I you want to see it: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/65177/above-the-fog-for-iray-and-3delight-looks-pretty-cool#latest

  • Vendors: We all don't use Iray ...

It's getting frustrating looking at new products when the description and/or the promo renders don't bother to state if there are 3Delight materials or shaders. I'm not going to buy something if it's not going to work for me or if only Iray is all that's being shown. I get it's the new shiney toy, but not all of us are sold.

There has been a lot no poser supported items as well.  they use to offer dson , you don't even see that anymore with new products. so you have too fxb everything into poser, which has been hit or miss if it works or not. I'm guessing Daz is moving to Studio software proprietary content only. meaning it will require you to have Studio if you want to use the content.  I seen this especially with environment content lately.

I thought it has more to do with the vendor's preference on wether they provide Poser support of their product, like Stonemason, who has come out and said he will no longer support Poser.  There are still some vendors providing content for both, like Petipet and Andrey Pestryakov.

Yes you are right, :)  its has been the VENDORS that have choose not to support poser. But mostly because poser does not eaily support. daz content file format anymore or vice-versa

  • Final Catchup- What Got Past You That You'll Grab?

I was plesantly surprised to see my 3 newer wish listed Andrey Pestryakov sets come off the new "New" flag just in tme to squeek into the sale. Village road, Lost Place, and Rock & Forest were gobbled up. I adore his nature settings.

I really like them too and actually they came off of the 'new' catagory just in time to be available  the last time he was a featured PA. So, I was able to gobble them up at 64% off.
