We need The Kids 8
Sorry if this has been covered (only read the last page or so), but I wanted to say I find it weird when a younger/child character does not come with smoothing morphs (aka a clothing helper morph). Not all of us own growing up. I do plan on getting it one day, but it just doesn't seem to go on sale when I have the cash to buy it. (If it came up for $2, I would find the cash, one way or another, but I haven't seen that happen.) I've tried dforcing clothing on kids, but it is a huge hassle. If you are a PA making a kid character, please include smoothing morphs!
Wacky Modelling ~ In Carrara ~so I modelled K9 into Dingo the hound... boned and some morphs and a collar!

he's in the zip file for you to experiment with, morph him, pose him or just sik him onto LoRenzo!
'the hound who thinks he's a dingo'
how wacky is that!
have fun playing fetch with this one

Gen X2 and Gen 4 figures.I haven't used GenX2 for a few years now but I'm pretty sure I was able to transfer Gen 4 morphs to Genesis (as well as G2/3).
However when I look at my source tab, all I can see are Genesis figures (No Poser Gen4). Have I forgotten to do something in the setup?

Images attached are from the product page.
Thanks in advance!Toilet Morphs for American Family DiningRequired Product: https://www.daz3d.com/american-family-dining It's on sale atm ;-)
An interesting set, the "American Toilet" is up in the air; up here in Canada we place toilets on the floor. So I made a morph to move it to the floor. Also one to close the lid of course ;-)
Zip should be attached to this post.

Some of it might simply be that the added vertices are between areas, so projecting weights and morphs into them is ambiguous (should they be like the upper chest or the slope of the breast?) Editing the weight maps may help with the posing distortion, but I'm not sure how you might tackle the morph projection in general.
I can get by with the morph projection not working I figure there's no fix for that. It's just after adding a custom morph. If I need to move the figure at all it distorts like in the one picture. If I can help fight that it'll save me a lot of time. How would I go about editing the weight maps to avoid the posing distortion?

You rigged the GeoGraft using the Transfer Utility, and it is essentially the same shape as the base figure with no morphs?
Yes, it is literally just that part of the chest exported, subdivided then imported as a graft using transfer utility. I added subdivide surface modifier in Daz as well since most tutorials for grafts mention it.
Twi'lek ear cones on G8For my twilek ear cones I used https://www.daz3d.com/mesh-grabber-win to strech outwards the ear then a no ears morph and they formed a cone
Daz to Cinema 4D Bridge - Meet the TeamHi guys,
I am M1 mac user i have to wait for update thats why i wanna connect all morph manualy is there a list of connected morph moves by maxon to daz 3d
Thanks
Genesis 8.1 on Daz Studio 4.12?Vendors with any commercial sense will release figures for both Genesis 8 and 8.1. As I recall the only real difference is the ability to have slightly more complex/smoother expressions and the slightly re-worked eye structure, both of which I'm guessing you could probably get with some additional morph packs for G8?

is there an easy way to transfer morph dial numbers?I accidentally zeroed my figure on the character I was working on, which was a blessing because I had messed the face up and I needed to start over
However, the body was fine. I had saved the zeroed figure in another save file, so I was thinking of going back and saving the old one as a scene subset and loading it with the new one. I was wondering if there was an easier way for me to transfer just the body dial morph numbers over without having to copy and paste them?
Prompt to Install Used ProductsHi there,
I'm having an issue where Daz will no longer prompt me to load people/wardrobe/hair items used in a scene. i.e. I have a scene with Tara 2, with Monica hair, in the Egyptian Oasis. It prompted me to download the Egyptian Oasis, but nothing else, so the character looks entirely different, and pose controls are not available for the wardrobe/hair. Previously it would prompt me to download all chatacters/morphs/wardrobe/hair items that is used in the scene. So now, after doing a fresh install, I'm finding myself a bit overwhelmed trying to remember all the base figures I used as morphs especially. It's not so bad for the outfit/hair as those tend to be named, but all the morph products are essential.
Did I accidentally turn a setting off or something?
How to fix hairAprilYSH said:
Applying other characters to G8 figure will auto-generate the character fit morph on the hair. This is sometimes ok but most times not good. You can repair or modify that auto generated morph:
And for advanced use you can apply rigidity so character morphs do not affect most parts of the hair in future:
It is a lot of work to fit many characters

Really helpful.
Geograft Warping With Figure Poses.I'm trying to solve hopefully an easy issue. I made a geograft for G8F. It simply replaces the breasts so there's more mesh to work with to create interaction. (Pic 1)
Then when I apply a figure morph like Victoria, or any other. It distorts a little bit.(Pic 2). So I create a custom morph for it to smooth out (pic 3).
Now, here's the problem. If I apply any breasts morphs it distorts and I need to make a new morph to smooth it out again. Which is fine. The most annoying thing is if I change the pose or anything like that, it distorts the graft again (Pic 4). Is there a way to stop the graft from doing this without exporting it and sculpting a new shape every single pose.
GenX2 - Can't transfer to Genesis!Help!
I transferred my morph from Genesis 8, to Genesis 3, to Genesis 2....but in Genx2, there is no Genesis option!
I even closed Daz fist, then deleted all of the plugin files, then re-installed.Guess what? It still doesn't work and didn't fix anything.
A year or so ago, I successfully was transferring to/from Genesis, so this is a big issue for me!
Can someone tell me how to get it working so that I can transfer to/from Genesis again?

Hi all, it's me again with a question on hair.
I've searched a lot of hair (and spent consequently) and I can't find something close to this : the main feature is that the hair are very flat and parted.
One can say that there is the DForce Classic Long Hair but too me there is too much volume on top and sides.
Thanks a lot in advance for your suggestions :-)
If you slightly increase the gravity before simulating, you'll get much less volume. You can also dial up the thickness morph before simulating (which consequently makes it less voluminous).
Gonna second this one. Try bumping the gravity to 2.5 (turn the limits off on the environment > gravity parameter). Some of Linday's hairs are designed with higher grav values in mind.

There's a new Vin Diesel lookalike over on the Other Site called "the Merc M4". I've managed to convert him to G1M/G2M/G3M, now I'm just awaiting permission to upload it.
ohhhhh that would be neat!
He's finally here in all his V8-powered glory. For best results you'll need the M4 legacy shapes for G1M/G2M/G3M and/or the late great D3D's GenX set.

UPDATE: Added ShareCG link.
Could always be closer, but I didn't spend too much time on this so I'm quite happy with the result. Thanks again for the morph!
Almost makes me think of Joe Rogan.

I had the exact same critique of dForce Classic Long Hair: It's perfect in every other way, but it has too much volume.
I ended up exporting it to Blender at base resolution as OBJ, fixed everything with Proportional Editing, and imported it back as a morph.
Or maybe you could use the Geometry Editor tool to delete some entire surfaces to decrease the volume. If I recall, Linday's Classic Curly seems intentionally set up to facilitate that, so maybe Classic Long is, as well.
Thanks. I'll need to move to "confirmed newbie" status to be able to do that. Yet I'm just an "Absolute Beginner" !
If you're referring to the Blender part, it's really not as hard as it may seem, and you'll find lots of people to walk you through it in the Blender forums here. It's really liberating not to have to search for an exact product when you can just modify an existing one.
But beware... particularly with hair, it's so satisfying styling the hair that you can waste hours just fiddling toward no particular end at all before remembering that you did have an actual goal in mind :)
