Help identifying figure
Does anyone know where I can purchase this model: https://gcdn.daz3d.com/p/107838/i/midnightminioutfitsetforgenesis900maindaz3d.jpg and the hair?
The artists use Victoria 9 in a lot of their promo renders, so I suspect she might be based on that figure.

Since you made him yourself, why not just change the texture but keep the morph itself? Wouldn't creating the morph with the texture applied help in getting it close enough, so that when you replace the texture, the character still has some resemblence? Must admit that while I have a few textures among my content, it's amazing how many times I randomly switch between them, but nearly always end up using the default Victoria 9 texture. So what I'm saying is I wouldn't let the removal of the photo texture be an issue. If anything, it will probably improve the look if you were to use a vendor's skin instead since they're generally designed without specular and lighting, whereas if you're using a photo texture, then that almost certainy is not going to look as good as a proper character texture anyway.Personally I would perfect the morph using the photo texture, then switch the texture, then refine the morph to make it look like who you want, but only do the refining once you've replaced the texture with another that is workable.
@All
Just a heads up that the notorious BBC play I mentioned the other day (Brimstone & Treacle) is available in full and without interlace issues on dailymotion.com If you search for "Brimstone and Treacle (1976)" it should be the first one that appears (with a runtime of one hour and twelve minutes). That's the proper version and doesn't appear to have been butchered by censorship. So anyone who's not seen it, now's your chance to view one of the best acted plays ever screened.EDIT: Too late now, upload removed as is often the case wth that one.
If you're easily offended then best avoided unless you choose to heed Martin's (beautifully written of course) warning:
"If you are a nervous type out there
Switch over, or off, for some calmer air
But you have to be smug or very frail
To believe that no man has a horn or tail"
That's nothing compared to some of the stuff the he says (the wit and humour is pretty heavy, tonge-in-cheek, and hidden all over the play). The Devil is portrayed as 'a bit of a lad' hidden behind a polite and very 'proper' exterior. But regardless of how you come away from it, you can't help but appreciate the quality of acting by all involved, and you'll never forget it because it has a very odd vibe to it that's really not like anything else out there (not that I've seen, anyway). Worthy of note is that Kitchen (The Devil) and Elliott (The Father) are both "RADA" actors, although the way RADA treated Elliott was (in my opinion) bang out of order. Needless to say, I'm guessing Elliot's acting in this one must have made "RADA" feel about a millimeter tall over their rudeness towards him!I'm guessing Potter saw in Elliot what RADA failed to see, because as pointed out, the characters in this are not just incredibly well acted, but perfectly cast as well. Plays like these are in fact very educational since they teach you how to create stories in such a way as to command the attention of the audience.
Who better to learn from than a master of screenwriting, Dennis Potter.Training AI with DAZ-Characters?In the EULA it states "the Content License expressly excludes the use, incorporation, or input of any Content, in whole or in part, in connection with i) any AI engine, program, or system (including, without limitation, Image.ai, Nightcafe, Artbreeder, chatGPT, Shutterstock, DALL-E 2, Deep Dream Generator, Hotpot ai, DeepAI) with capabilities or instructions to auto-generate materials that are derivative, imitative, or otherwise plagiaristic of the Content; and ii) any activity contrary to the intended use of the Content License, or otherwise to circumvent the terms, restrictions, or safeguards applicable to this Content License. For the purposes of this EULA, "AI" means any method of artificial intelligence such as deep learning, neural networks, or any other similar technologies intended to consume and analyze content for the intent of auto-generating new content."
I will note that in the EULA "content" refers to the actual products and not to the user-generated images (which they call "Two dimentional works.") I am sure a lawyer could argue it either way, but I would personally shy away from using 2D works that include Daz assets to train AI as it could allow the AI to generate images using, say Victoria 9 without a user owning the asset.

After what seemed like a pretty good weekend, I expected a decent catch-up sale, even if it wasn’t as good as getting products during the 12 hour windows. But today’s sale is just… a joke.
Yep, It looks like today's sale will be a definite pass for me.
Does anyone recognize this figure? The character could be a mix using Victoria 9, with Gigi's skin. Xtrart-3D tends to use a variant of the "current" Victoria as the promo model.Celebrity Look-a-Likes for 3D figures Part 4Deecey said:

Sangriart's new release, Margie for G9, is Natalie Dormer, who played Margaery Tyrell in "Game of Thrones". It's a very realistic character, although I almost feel that the earlier G3F version was closer to Dormer's distinctive features than this one.
I would posit that Margie for G9 is a more youthful looking Natalie Dormer, in the face anyway. Her features overall and the textures are quite good. She's just got a softer, younger look. In GoT she was 30 - 34, so I'd judge this G9 to be 20ish. She played Victoria in Cassanova in 2005 so maybe around that?
With the name of "Queen of Roses" associated with the new figure, my guess is that it is related to her role of Anne Boleyn in "The Tudors", which came out in 2007. She was born in 1982, so would have been about 25 when that series aired.
In "Game of Thrones", Margaery is a member of House Tyrell, whose symbol is a golden rose. And she does become a queen. So "Queen of Roses" is as apt for the fictional Margaery Tyrell as for the historical Anne Boleyn.

Sangriart has also remodeled their G8 figure of Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen in "Game of Thrones"), and I think Dracarys for G9 is a better Clarke than the earlier version.

It's excellent, by the way. And she made a great Anne Boleyn, against Jonathan Rhys Meyers playing Henry VIII

You have, accidentally or otherwise, deleted the attachment and so there is nothing for the in-line image to refer to (though you may still see a cached copy).

There's Always Another Sale Thread -- Discussions Only Pt 6Being almost the end of the month & between paydays, I don't have a lot to spend, but I did use my DO coupon & my lone token to get https://www.daz3d.com/victoria-9-hd-highlander-add-on-bundle for $1 plus https://www.daz3d.com/hh-ankylosaurus from QG.
There's a number of older G9 character & add-on bundles for about $8 including that Highlander bundle.
My library's summer reading program is dinosaur themed, so I am going to do some quick pieces with the ankylosaurus & other prehistoric critters I already own. I'm spending the evening nursing my allergies & looking through my product library to see what plants & stuff I own to put together some habitats for the animals.
How do you organize a huge content library?I have about 15 different libraries, with the items sorted into them. They are:
- Animals 1 (old)
- Animals 2 (more recent)
- Cloaks and MFDs (morphing fantasy dresses) (since the old generations of these share textures)
- Genesis 5
- Genesis 6
- Genesis 7
- Genesis 8 (and 8.1)
- Genesis 9
- Hivewire
- Main (environments, props, utilities in here)
- Millennium 3
- Millennium 4
- Nature (lots of plants)
- Vehicles
- My Projects
The advantage is that I can usually find stuff. The disadvantage is that, if a product is for multiple figure generations and doesn't have separate installers, one of them will have to be installed manually in the other library, since DIM won't handle two installations.
I'm exporting my stuff, rather than rendering in Studio these days, so some of these directories are mostly empty these days, as I've exported their contents and uninstalled.
I gave up on organizing these things in one library, because some of them -- especially the old producs from the days of Victoria & Michael 3 and 4 -- are very hard to keep track of. The figures are only part of it. Some of the environments had add-ons and texture sets, where figuring out which texture set went with which base + add-on combination could take some time.
I'm exporting because Daz Studio's old preview render, which used to be excellent and helpful, got broken and never fixed -- the old products never used to look like flipped-normal patchwork rubbish in preview, or I'd never have gotten started with Daz at all -- and because Studio is so darned slow moving around a large landscape I eventually decided I'd rather move everything than try to work with it. (Forgot: And also they've never increased the displayable text size, a decade after HiDPI became common, so it's eyestrain to use. I understand it was impossible with the old toolkit. But they haven't done it yet in Studio 2026 either, so I'm glad I didn't decide to wait.)

Lately it feels like: “oh cool, another creepy Tabitha 9 or Xola 9 or Zack 9 derivative dwarf with slightly different ears and abs and no real new textures.” That stuff keeps happening because people buy them and nobody pushes back.
I'm convinced that stuff is AI generated.
That said it's the cheapest "buy in" option.
I assume 100% of the proceeds go to Daz as opposed to the 50% with a PA item.
If the cheapest PA item for buy in was 13.29 after 30% "new release" discount and you had 8 tokens to use, Daz gets an extra 20c if you went with the Daz Original item, while PAs probably see a decline in sales of their new releases.
The cheapness of the item will lower the resistance of many people into spending on that day, but I wonder how much the extra few cents from 85-90% discounted items increases PA income to compensate.
Base Joint Correctives IssueOkay so we are all good. It turned out that the problem was with a JCM file in the product shown in the image below - E3D Alina for Genesis 9. I tried a few things to fix it but, as Not Victoria feared, simply dialing the property down created huge problems in other areas so for the time being I've simply removed all of the product files. It's a shame beacuse she was a nice character but at least I can now use the other 3,747 resources I have installed. Which is nice

Once again, thank you both so much for your help with this issue.
Base Joint Correctives IssueThanks to both of you. I'll have a go at fixing it and let you know if I require any further assistance. (Not Victoria - your second posting of the image worked. Thanks again.)
Problem with Breastacular for G8Fupdate. udim bug.
Actually there's a bug when making udims. The makeup textures are converted to udim thus they don't work fine. To fix this it is enough to select the makeup textures and check "single image" instead of "udim tiles". Will prepare a bug report for Thomas when I have some time. Apart this everything works fine here, including the daz genitalia, that I can't show for the forum policy.
Below it's Victoria 8.1 with daz genitals converted to udim.
update. Now reported to Thomas.
Problem with Breastacular for G8FIf you mean the daz genitalia, then you have to merge it by hand, after importing without merge. The "last udim tile" option is specific for geografts without shells, as daz.
https://github.com/Diffeomorphic/import_daz/wiki/Setup_Finishing_Merge_Geografts
As for making changes, if you merge udims you will have one single material, that's the purpose of merging. However, if you use the pbrskin, the makeup works as an extra layer, that you can change. Be sure to select the face as active material when merging udims so the makeup layer is preserved.
https://github.com/Diffeomorphic/import_daz/wiki/Material_Tools_Edit_Material_Make_UDIM_Materials
steps (for example Victoria 8.1 with genitalia):
- import without merging geografts
- merge geografts with "last udim tile"
- make udims with face as active material

Does "She" have a name? What hair did you use? How did you split your renders -- foreground, mid- and then background?
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
Eva I guess: I don't really think about name outside of using the name given to a character or morph by an artist (so CGS Eva in this case).
I don't remember mixing two characters together, so it would feel strange to me to say 'Meet Elizabeth, a twenty something bright student going on a adventure' when everyone using Daz would say 'Hey, you picked the wrong queen, it's Victoria 8.1'
.The morph is from CGSerpent, everything else (skin, brows, and HD morph) are from Loriane, by maelwenn.
The hair is from @Akhelloos: ALO Elysianna Hair for Genesis 9, 8 and 8.1 Female.
For the separation, the character and her immediate environnement is at world center, the house in the lake is at something like x=-8000, y=-1400 z=-12000, and so on:

I used the matte fog setting (using the setting provided with Skies of Economy Redux - Volume 2) and I played a bit with Matte Fog Visibility in Iray Preview to get a result I liked.

If it's Victoria Day weekend does that mean all renders this weekend will be of Victoria 1, 2, 3, 4 or genesis?

It might look like fainting to the untrained eye, but with the fireworks and drinking, it's more likely passing out.
It's a federal statutory holiday celebrating Queen Victoria’s birthday and the reigning monarch's official birthday, always held on the last Monday before May 25. Fireworks, barbecues, lots of festivities. it used to be the day we'd start our camping season when I was much younger, almost an unofficial first day of summer.
