Thank You, Oskarsson!

Thank You, Oskarsson! This is the style of modern clothing that I wish GM2 and GM3 had more of. No skinny pants, no tights or goth boots in sight. Just a nice masculine outfit, I need more of this.

  • I really like the outfit, too.  I love the morphs for the coat and how they don't seem to just follow the legs.  Unfortunately, no plans to upgrade yet.  It will have to wait until I decide to do that.

I assume we're talking about the Classic Trenchcoat for Genesis 3 Male(s)...

It's as if Oskarsson read my comment in the "Again: why no men's clothes?" thread (here) and made this product just for me! I could nit-pick and say the tie is tad too short, and the crotch of the slacks is touch too tight, but the fact is, I want this product!

But I'm not buying any encrypted products because they are DAZ Connect only and I'm not planning on upgrading to 4.9 any time soon. Nothing against the new release of DAZ Studio, but until I get a new computer with a decent Nvidia graphics card and a faster internet connection, DAZ Connect will only frustrate me. (And I'm not too keen on the encryption aspect, either.)

Ditto. I would actually have bought this product, just because there are so few garments like it ... but, it's encrypted. So that's that.

Yep.  Saw, wanted, downchecked.  Thanks, Oskarsson -- no thanks, DAZ!

That would have lured me into trying the G3 male, assuming I couldn't reverse-fit it to G2. But ... it's encrypted. Sorry, I just can't go there, no matter how tempting the bait. No DRM. Ever.

Well it looks like a buyout since it's a daz original, so the artist has already been paid for the item regardless.

Good. He (she?) deserves to get paid for such a great clothing product. Unfortunately, I can see DAZ looking at the low sales volume and chocking it up to "male products don't sell." Maybe we should contact DAZ and let them know we'd be buying this one, if it weren't encrypted...?

Yes, awesome set. I snapped it up right away. Encryption is a non-issue for me.

It's one of my great frustrations that buying products can't communicate more clearly.

People tend to read into it whatever they want.

(I'm not doing G3 stuff, but I'd be tempted, except encryption)

  • The only other person who makes great modern clothes in this vein is IKHung, I have all of his male content over at renderosity. I'm waiting for more funds to get the rest here. I can't wait for him to make the plunge into GM3.

Do you mean IH Kang? (http://www.daz3d.com/ih-kang)

Kang is definitely one of my favorite PAs.

Yep, same here. Files that are encrypted are on my no buy list also. Too bad as it does look like a great set

  • Grabbed it.  It is a fantastic product.  No issues with encryption, no issues with the use of the product.  My worflow never noticed the difference.

Do it. I did (response: "We value you as a customer and do appreciate your feedback. I will pass this along to the team."), and if they hear it from enough people, they might pay attention.

Okay. I'll do it. If nothing else, at least they'll know there is interest in good, contemporary, male clothing!
