Janna Hair saw lines?

I have this problem. Janna hair appears in render and preview with that horrible saw lines. Subdivision and smooth doesnt help. I change the textures too.

    Perhaps it's the head morph affecting the hair?  If you dial out the head morph(s) for the hair in the hidden parameters does the problem go away?

    Is that an Iray render?

    Since it is showing up before rendering, it has to be something texture related...
