Those are items which have no metadata (or incorrect metadata), so that Daz can fix them and they can be used easily until then.
I lost a size 10 mens black uniform type sneaker(right), the left horn from a Viking helmet, a half a roll of butter rum life savers, a pack and a half of "happy monkey" firecrackers, a medium point black Sharpie, a slightly dented tin of "Uncle Oinkie's bacon mints" and small rubber Horned lizard.
If anyone finds any of these in the lost and found, please let me know. Thank you.
Should I be worried that everything I've installed through Connect is showing in there?
Which items? Is it showing all the files for the product, a few files, or an empty folder?
Things show up in there for a number of reasons, even products with metadata.
Basically, every front-facing user file should have metadata, so any front-facing file that doesn't have metadata will show up in the Lost and Found so it is easy to find them until we are able to create metadata for them. Because of that, there are a number of products that don't have any metadata, and there are a number of products that have metadata but are missing it for a few files. Even some newer products end up with an entry because of a readme or vendor logo or some other type of file that didn't get metadata initially to even say "no category". Those are all cases that we are working on fixing and ramping up the efforts and resources that are going to getting metadata fixed for every product as fast as we can while keeping / correcting it all to be consistent and accurate.
shows what looks like every single product. As for files, so far it's just the Bus Pegasus and a Pot from the Backyard item
I have quite a few.
Thank you
Indeed, I have 305 Daz3d items in lost and found lol
I have a lot too, almost all old items. Guess that's just going to either take time to update the metadata ourselves, hope that DAZ does it, or leave them there and use searches and manual sorting (see the "Finding Connect-ed Content" thread for more on that) to find them.
I have over a thousand items in there, but at least I can find them now. Definitely an improvement! And if you uncheck "Filter By Context", they all show up, in alphabetical order too. I glad this is being fixed, so far it's been my biggest (and really only) frustration as a newer DAZ user. Love the program and the amazing sales (probably a little too much!), but geez, finding the stuff has been a nightmare.
