Parenting a Group breaks smoothing?

DS4.9. I just created a group of the Grantham outfit for G2M (specifically, on Gianni6) and everything is great. But as soon as I parent it to G2M it looks like I am losing all smoothing for the outfit. Is this the intended behavior?

    I think I figured it out. In the Scene tab, if I drag the Group to parent it then thigns seem to be fine. However, if I right-click to bring up the Change Parent window and select the parent there then the smoothing is lost. Intreresting "feature".

    Different behaviours like that sound more like a bug - please report it, if it's meant to be like that support can always say so.
