Need Help! Installing Connect as Offline Content.

I cannot for the life of me figure out where to go to find this part of the installation of offline content:

  1. Using the OS file browser (e.g., Explorer/Finder), navigate to a content directory that is mapped as the "Daz Connect Data" directory or a "Daz Studio Formats" directory in the Content Directory Manager.
  2. Within the chosen mapped directory, navigate to the ./data/cloud/install sub-directory
    • If the sub-directory does not exist, you will need to create it.

I have not used DS in a very long time, and have searced all the directories to try to figure out where the heck "Daz Connect Data" is. I also looked under preferences as there used to be something about showing where content is located, and it is not there.

Thank you!

The location for Connect content will be listed in Studio's Content Directory Manager.

  • Thanks for the help! I found it! Yay! Now to see if I can get it to work.

Now a new thread to figure out why DS wants to re-install all my stuff.

    Thanks again!

Because a DIM install and Connect install place the files in different places - though where the installed file and the Connect file are the same version, and both compressed, Connect will use the local fiel rather than downloading again.

Thanks! I will take another look at it. When I clicked on one the other day, it was taking forever to do this "checking" so I just shut it down. I manually install everything, so my files may not be where Connect thinks they should be. What a mess.

I need to go back and read the posts on going back to 4.8. *sigh* Not sure if bug fixes are worth this hassle.
