I've been looking but most searches for steampunk come up with 47 Billion Victorian dresses for Vicky. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any product with something like this:

Oskarsson's Time Traveler has a little of this vibe. http://www.daz3d.com/the-timetraveler
The Ant Farm and SickleYield's MAG2 Arm for G2F might also work with some different shaders. https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/?search=gynoid
At Rendo there's SteamBetty, a texture, conformer, and prop set for V4: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/?ViewProduct=78465
Also at Rendo, Mihrelle's Cyborg Collection for G3F https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/the-cyborg-collection-2-for-g3f-and-v7/113243/ and EdArt3D's Gynoid Series https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/?search=gynoid could supply some useful bits, especially with different shaders applied.
And check out Cybertenko's store, if you haven't already done so. Maybe the M4 Military Exoskeleton https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/military-exoskeleton/113164/ or even the Retrobot https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/retrobot/113297/ could provide parts. Don't miss the M4 Steampunk Implants either! https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/steampunk-implants/78838/ In any case, maybe his aesthetic will give you some ideas.
I hope this helps. If anyone has other ideas for steampunk cybernetics, I'll watch this thread...

EDIT: Check out Val3dArt's Flying Cadet Lola Pepper too. You could probably get something out of those wonderfully over-the-top boots... https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/flying-cadet-lola-pepper/104210/
Thanks for taking the time to post this, MW - off to check out the products you've mentioned!

Thanks Wizard!
I just need to figure out a good way to "merge" parts, IE, attach stuff built for one figure onto a figure from another generation as I generally prefer Genesis 1-3 and a lot of these are for M4 (and V4)
I use the Genesis base, and I created a cyborg character by using parts from Cyborg Version 4 (http://www.daz3d.com/cyborg-version-4). I'm no expert and I'm sure I did things the wrong way, but I started by making a custom Genesis morph. It's been a while, but I remember parenting pieces of the cyborg (got the pieces separated in Hexagon) directly to Genesis nodes (resizing/positioning as necessary) and I think there were some JCMs involved to keep things in place as the character is posed. And there were some pieces that I made into conforming clothing (chest/hip areas).
Anyway, that Steambetty model looks pretty sweet. Depending on exactly what you end up wanting to do, it may be easier to simply "sync" 2 different figures and hide/morph things as appropriate.

There's also AntFarm's M4 Steam Pirate here at Daz: http://www.daz3d.com/steam-pirate

You'll want to explore "rigid nodes".
