DIM updates question

I'm planning of staying with 4.8. While installing a new purchase today via the DIM I noticed that there were a bunch of updates available with many saying 4.9+. How do you tell which if any of the updates are now encrypted? Will the DIM even try to dl and install updtes if I haven't upgraged to 4.9? I don't want to lose being able to use items that work fine now for an update that may not allow me to use the item at all.

    DIM can't install anything that is encrypted. It lacks that functionality.

    Thanks for the reply. So I guess that means it's okay for me to do the updates via the DIM even though I'm only using 4.8? After a few days when the the server load has settled done a bit :)
