Not that I can recall, but there's this dead body in my living room who looks suspiciously like the Sultan of Brunei -- I think his name is Murray -- apparently all the Bolkiah boys went to British boarding schools and picked up British nicknames.
Oooh, sorry about that... Any pig farms nearby?
How can you think about food at a time like this?
Unless you were thinking about pot-bellied racing pigs. Haven't seen pig-racing in ages. Come to think of it, I haven't been to a County Fair in years. Murray could afford an army of pot-bellied pigs, I'm sure -- of course, they aren't Halal, so maybe he doesn't have one. I'm sure he's got an army of something, though. Aiko-bots, maybe.
No...but I do have a sudden urge for a ham and cheese on rye.
Same here,
But i thought i was because i live in Belgium :) !
Yeah this person, I agree post a render or we will not believe you
Oh, I missed that... Okay... But they are probably out committing murder and mayhem or saving the universe at the moment, so you'll probably have to wait till they get back... Or if they get back.
Don't think that was a crtieria either as I am a PC+ memeber. I think it was maybe those on "double secret probation"
Oh yeah I Dream big all the time for the freebie section
I did it!
I bought Bijou for Genesis 2 Female(s)! An absolute steal at $244.97!
Why did I do it? Well, first, just to see if DAZ would let me. (Obviously, they did.) But my major -- indeed, my overriding - reason, is as simple and as unaffected as the fact that I am insane. Totally, completely, freakin' nuts!
And I now have a true "Collector's Item"!
(Displaying it on the mantlepiece, next to my Faberge egg, is likely to be a bit of a challenge, though....)
That's what 3D printing is for...
It's common to pay many thousands of dollars for figures that can be used in movies. It's built into the budget.
Well now ya got the braggin' rights, just need to stay oudda sight of them dudes in white coats.
Well, if you can't display it and don't want it for the price you paid, you can always return it within the first 30 days. Then again anybody who keeps Fabrege eggs on his mantlel probably doesn't need to worry about the cost.
And while you are at it, DAZ allows giving of gift certificates and theres that Titan Z video card with Australian shipping and .... And ...
Were you one of those lotto winners other day? Just asking
I got this character for my first anniversary here on Daz : )
Yeah, I know. I'm a long-time sponsor of the RRRR, here on this forum. So DAZ GC's and I go way back!
Nope. Didn't even buy a ticket.
Just a QD (Quick and Dirty) test-drive....
Bottom line: no regrets. She is exquisite! I can see myself using her a lot!
Usually when I don't get my my morning coffee.
With DAZ being the thief I guess...
BTW, it was on sale a few days ago, AFAIR you're eligible to have the price difference refunded (about $61).
Some are considerably more insane than you:
"Artist's Shit (Italian: Merda d'artista) is a 1961 artwork by the Italian artist Piero Manzoni. The work consists of 90 tin cans, each filled with 30 grams (1.1 oz) of faeces..."
"A tin was sold for €124,000 at Sotheby's on May 23, 2007; in October 2008 tin 83 was offered for sale at Sotheby's with an estimate of £50–70,000. It sold for £97,250. On October 16, 2015, tin 54 was sold at Christies for the astonishing sum of £182,500. The tins were originally to be valued according to their equivalent weight in gold – $37 each in 1961 – with the price fluctuating according to the market."

I have a far more discriminating notion of what constitutes "art" than most modern "artists". I also have a far more cynical definition of a "connoisseur" or "collector", leaning toward that old adage, "a fool and his money are soon parted"; or, as George Carlin famously observed, "If you put a price on something -- regardless of what that something is -- somebody will come along, who is stupid enough to want to buy it." (Exhibit 'A', above.)
Andy Warhol once noted that "art is what you can get away with." And he would know; after all, his most iconic work was a pretty clear-cut case of copyright infringement!
But he got away with it.
Well given the last example you are saner than some, just a tad loose with your wallet.
I just thought she was not exactly another Reby Sky, more something one could dial up if discerning, we probably need to see more renders unless you make it a pay to view service to recap your investment, now that would make sense
Maybe there is method to your madness afterall
Sad but true. Most of the modern art that sells for ridiculous prices I wouldn't have hanging on my walls even if they paid me for it (well, okay, if they paid me enough, maybe
).
Is it?
Back then companies weren't quite as paranoid and actually liked stuff like that...

And Campbell's soup even issued 50th anniversary labels on its cans...
Congrats Ken. Ya know, if you render your $250 character 10 times, you will have gotten more use out it than I will have gotten out of 17 $15 characters. In the grand scheme of things, you got a real bargain.
You DEFINITELY need to put in a ticket to get that $61 difference if you're going to keep her. Give it to an animal rescue group or the local homeless shelter if you don't care about it. It's senseless to throw money away, particularly of that amount. That said, you're an adorable spunky man to test this out. Go Ken!
I've never get anything from DAZ for my memebership, not any free special character nor one of the 3D printings. I would really like to know, which criteria must be fulfilled to get a free special present from DAZ?
I have "a" Bijou... I'm not sure if its the same one.
No, that's not the same one.

Or it was the original V4 version they based it on
