THE SKIN OF THE CHARACTER IN BLUE- TOP RIGHT- SHOWS UP AS BLACK, AFTER A RENDER (IT IS FINE, UNTIL RENDERED.)

Am I going to have to rebuild the character?

Or is is there a setting in SURFACES that I am failing to correctly adjust?

OR...IS THIS A LIGHTING ISSUE?

Have you tried saving out the scene and restarting DAZ?

Also are you rendering in 3DL or Iray?

  • Need more info? Is this a Iray or 3delight render? Which shaders are you using on skin? Which version of studio? What charter and skin?

It could be a corrupt shader.  Try going to the temp file folder (default on Windows is C:/Users/[username]AppData/Roaming/DAZ 3D/Studio4/temp/shders) and deleting the brickyard folder, then ee if it renders correctly.

    I'M USING 3D

Actually, I belive I unintentionally went out of the DazS, and restarted, but I can try it again, and see what happens.  Thank you for responding!

    3Delight

...I didn't think abour shaders.  I may have to consult the guide on that.

    4.6

    charter?

I belive the skin is basic genesis 2 female, but I better check.

sometimes after I was working for a long period of time in 3DL, a skin shader would just up and die on me.  I would have to restart DS to kick start it again. Usually, my "skin tone" would go white.  maybe it can go black as well.  Just an idea to encourage regular restarting of DS.
