I am trying out Daz Studio 4.8 and when I have Genesis set up with clothes hair ect as soon as I go to render Daz cuts out any reason for this? I am at basic stage with this as I normally use poser, I just load figure add hair and clothes nothing too exciting so I can not understand why Daz is banging out on me and help would be great thanks.

Could you please give a few more details? What exactly does "banging out" mean? Do you get error messages, the ususal five minutes of 'render screen opens but nothing seems to happen', or does the program close on you?
Hello BeeMKay the program closes no error message or anything it starts to render then it closes.
How much memory does your system have? It is possible that the system runs out of memory when using Iray.
Got you that makes sense thanks for your help that is something I can fix
You can try rendering something simple like a primitive, or Genesis without clothing and hair, to see if rendering actually does work. Or check memory usage during render while using the system's task manager.
In my experience DAZ Studio uses no more memory than Poser, so it would be odd if you can create scenes with Poser but not DS.
.....or you could try 4.7 if you can get a copy. 4.8 started dying on my Win10 machine a few minutes after load, but was working on my Windows 7 machine. Now it crashes trying to load anything from Runtime on my Windows 7 machine. 4.7 has always been solid as a rock. I liked 4.8, but its stability went south on me around Christmas, and since the latest Windows Updates on my Win7 machine.
Then again....if you want iRAY, 4.7 is not an option.
4.8 has always been, and remains rock solid for me. Did you install any new plug ins around the time it started to become more unstable? I am also using Win 7 with all the latest upates.
I noticed it was when I started to use iray before that it seemed to running fine, I havent had a render out of it yet. I bought a new outfit and it had the choice when using shaders 3Delight or iray everything seemed fine it started to render then like I said the program just went off no warning or anything. Thank you all for trying to help me but I really want to stick with 4.8 so I can get Genesis 3 ect.
I ment to add my system has installed memory (RAM) 4.00GB (3.24GB usage)
I have run both Poser and DS in 4GB, but you are cutting it fine. Even when I had 8GB it was not enough for any scenes with more than 2-3 figures. With 3.24GB of usable memory, even with everything closed your OS is likely to want 1GB or more of that, so memory available for apps is not great. It could be that iRay allocates a load of memory when you start to render, and this is making you system fall over. Check if you have virtual memory allocated for the PC, although I am not sure that will help if you are using a 32 bit OS.
Can you render simple scenes with 3Delight?
Actually iRay is only 64 bit, so maybe that is why it is failing, or is your OS 64 bit?
I think its probably a memory issue as for me in 4.9 rendering 1 G3 with a dress & hair in Iray mode uses 3.8 GB on my system - Rendering 3DL uses 1.9 GB so there is more of a difference between the 2 renderers than I thought there would be
My OS is 32 bits, It renders fine with 3Delight not sure about a big scene as yet havent tried more than one figure. I will get some more memory as I need it as I use a few programs. So iray is for a 64 bit that has to be it then what a pain lol Thank you so very much for your help my friend :)
If you have a 32 bit OS more memory is NOT going to help anything...it can't use it, so it won't do anything for you.
Plus I don't see how you can do anything at all with Iray, as it is only available in the 64 bit version of Studio. Which, if your OS is 32 bit would not be able to install. So, yes, if you are trying to use Iray shaders in a 32 bit version of Studio, I would expect a crash.
Poser at 32 bits has only a few advantages over DS 32 bits (eg: the cloth room), but if you know Poser better that is a clear advantage. I started with Poser, and was reluctant to switch to DS as I liked the renders from FireFly better than those from 3Delight. However once I learned how to use lights correctly with DS, in particular when I had purchased the AoA advanced lights, I found I could get similar results with 3DL as I was seeing with Firefly. My main motivation for switching was the ability to use Genesis, which is by far the most flexible, superior, and backwards compatible human figure available (imho). So once I could get similar render results it was an easy decision to largely wave goodbye to Poser (though I still need it occasionally, for example with dynamic cloth).
If your main reason for trying out DS was to access iRay, then maybe you should look at Poser 11's Superfly which is also a PBR renderer. I have no idea though if this works in 32 bit though.
