how come Mich7 needs dim but Vick7 doesn't?
**Genesis 3 Male Starter Essentials must be installed through Daz Install Manager (DIM) to use Michael 7 in Daz Studio. To find the Genesis 3 Starter Essentials search for SKU:21630 in DIM and click to install

DIM is not required, you can also install G3M Starter Essentials manually if you want.
Adding a warning that G3M Starter Essentials are required was a good idea though.
Yes, it isn't a reminder that M7 needs DIM, it's a reminder that M7 needs the G3M Starter Essentials. And the same, of course, with V7 and G3F. Ignore the "must be installed through DIM", any DAZ content can be installed either with DIM, or manually.
