Pretty 3D’s catalog

I just saw that Pretty3D has a 70% off sale on their entire catalog. Just curious, I noticed that some items they sell on their Renderosity store are not available in the DAZ store. Does anyone know how or why this marketing separation of items works?

Rendo is a completely separate to Daz3d, pretty3d have probably sold exclusively to one store or the other. I find some artists often sell more poser friendly items on rendo, and daz sets here.

Gnerally speaking, most products that are sold by PAs at DAZ aren't allowed to be sold at any other store.  (This doesn't include products offered by major software companies like VUE and Realusion.)  Many artists choose to sell at several different stores to maximize their potential markets, though how they choose to do this will vary.  Frequently you'll find that items on sale at Rendo are more likely to be poser specific, using Poser dynamic cloth or Poser-only materials, but the obvious distinction in Pretty3D's case used to be that everything on sale at Rendo was for Gen4 or earlier figures.  However, since P3D has recently released several G3F items on Rendo, and has always been good about making sure that products work in DS, it looks like the main difference on those is that the G3F Pretty 3D items at Rendo are a bit more revealing than the DAZ items, something that the more lenient product image terms at Renderosity (which allow nudity) are better suited for, er... displaying.

Okay thanks for the info. Just wasn't sure how it all worked.
