Revealing the Sexy Naked Truth of Olympia 7

Andie for Olympia 7 is currently on offer for the holiday promotion.  I was wondering if Olympia 7 is necessary to use that character since it says "This product uses the Genesis 3 Base Female UV Maps". What would make Olympia 7 a requirement?

The shape will look different if you do not own Olympia, and you will get an error message when you load her (although the latter is harmless). How different she will look is tricky to say

So it is a morph built on her morph set?  Will the textures still line up with Victoria 7 base model (for example)?

If it's using the base G3F uv, it should line up ok. The body looks like it needs the O7 shape; the head might be a custom morph, but maybe not. She's in my cart, but I probably won't pick her up until tomorrow, so I can't check until then.

So it seems the textures will be okay but the morph injections will not look like the promo since the builds on the Olympia base morph. That's okay for me, I customize the character anyways.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Victoria 7 is not the base figure, Genesis 3 Female is.  I decided to pass on this character despite liking the look of it because the desciption wasn't clear as to whether the head is a custom sculpted morph or just dial spins.

understood.  I did not properly express myself.  I meant if I dial in Victoria 7 and then use Shape Shift to alter the looks then texture should still appear okay. Without Olympia 7 I can not achieve the appearance in the promos, but I'm okay with that.

I apologize hjake if my reply seemed harsh, this is just a pet peeve with me.  It is surprising how many people think Victoria 5, 6 and 7 are the base because historically that was the case.  It seems even some vendors at other stores think this.

Not a problem, I can see how that can be annoying. Cheers.

Thanks, that's great and much appreciated. So if I understand you correctly the image on the right is the Andie skin on the G3F base without the Olympia morphs.

Andie does have her own head and body morph shapes so it is the Andie shape and skin but off the G3F base rather than it using Olympia,  have no idea how much Olympia is dialled into the Andie morph but you can certainly see there is some to the face, the body shape isn't far off without Olympia though looking at it (more subtle than the head and face)

Either way it looks great. I really appreciate you taking the time to share this. I believe other have been informed by it too.

    ** bump  **

To anyone wondering about buying a skin and not having the required shape Olympia 7, Aiko 7, etc.

If you have the Genesis, G2F, G3F required foundation shape you should be okay for the texture. It is only the shape that will not match since you do not have the underlying base shapes.

Is the part in the promo infor telling you what the UVs are; shapes tend to be UV independent.

It is rare in G3 for a figure to use other than the default female UVs (with the exception of the series 7 characters - and even there, one of them uses G3F UVs); in G2 it varies.
