Andie for Olympia 7 no sale discount?

It's new, just released, isn't it supposed to have a 30% discount? it's not showing any.

 

I haven't been able to buy anything at Daz for MONTHS and finally get to get a couple things... Andie's a real cutie! So fingers crossed she's gonna be on sale :)

    It is the 'Happy Holidays' 75% off with purchase of a new release item. DAZ has decided no other discounts apply to these items. So, put a new item in your cart with it and you will see the 75% discount

    Andie's in a special sale category. If you buy a listed new item you get 75% off Andie . For example Myrina for Olympia 7 for $8.80 and Andie for $4.22.

    It's all in the top banner on the Shop page.

    The normal discounts will apply to Andie in two days.

    i am greatly confused. Andie *IS* a new item. It should have a discount. I'm so baffled and frustrated. I can't search forums, I can't find readmes again, and sales make no sense to me. Daz is the only place whose sales are so confusing they end up loosing my purchases!

    1. It is a new item but it is on a special promotion for the holidays. To get the special discount you need to buy one of the current Punchable New Releases:

    http://www.daz3d.com/december-2015-punchard-sale ; then you get a 75% discount on the item when both items are in your shopping cart.

    You find the document you want by knowing its product number (SKU) in the case of Andie for Olympia 7 that would be 23644. The SKU for each product is on its product page under the price.

    On the left side column called Product Index there is a row 23000-23999. When you click on the link it will bring you to the page for all 23000 series product (SKY 23000+).  Andie for Olympia 7 is on that page.

    okay well then, is it ANY *new* item, or does it have to be a NEW *new* item. Yeah, Daz really doesn't do a great job explaining their sales. THis time it seems to work with *new* but i have seen several sales that "new" meant "NEW *new*" and not "new".

    Any item with the "new" tag and costing more than 1$. And you need both items in your cart at the same time.

    I can confirm that. Punchable is not necessary. It just has to be a new item. I just tried it and it works.

    Yep, picked up the G3M peasant clothes to get the discount, now to see what she looks like without Olympia 7 who's only made it to my wish list so far!!

    Well the only exception I see is Jared (not really surprising since the product is currently available with the same promotion): if you put both Jared and Andie in the cart it's not enough to trigger the discount, you need to add another new item (buth then it triggers the discount on both).

    Frankly I have given up trying to understand how discounts are calculated.  It's something like the math behind quantum mechanics and general relativity, only harder, more uncertain and with more arbitrary constants throw in as and when required.

    Here she is with Olympia dialed out (the one with the Alphakini top covering her frontal Anatomical Elements).

    And then a picture with the Ares armor top, showing that Ares works as well on G3F as Attica works on G3M. I left the Olympia dials as is for that one.

    No fancy render settings (Iray).
