Converting DAZ Products to Poser, and lack of textures...

Since I don't use DAZ I usually convert things that are DAZ only with a poser companion file.
But for some reason I can't seem to create companion files for materials? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
The files load but they have no bump maps and I can't apply different textures. I click on them with the figure loaded, it says it's loading but then nothing happens.
Is there something I'm missing here?
A similar thing also happened trying to convert a v4 skin to g2 and then exporting it, it loads without bump maps or not at all....
I'd appreciate some help.

It will depend on the shader used, but in general materials need to be set up in Poser - a lot of store PoserCFs will have had the base file edited to add a shadertree section for Poser, or will have plain Poser mc6 files.
and how do I remedy this...?
You have to remake your textures for use in poser using the material room. Companion files won't make materials and will only transfer with minumum textures.
So I need to load in all the bump maps and stuff?
Yes, you need to load all the other maps, manually and save out a preset.
How do I know which maps are which? B is bump right? S is Specular? But I have one here that says 'G' and idk waht that is...
B is usually bump.
S is usually Specular.
G could be Glossiness.
The best way is to open the duf file in a text editor and read what goes where...usually they are just compressed, so either text editor that can compress on the fly or decompressing them before opening is needed. the next easiest/best is to look at what is assigned where in Studio and write it down somewhere.
Where is the DUF file usually located?
