Reality_Scene_Data causing slow deletes

I’ve been having a problem with deleting objects in my scenes taking way to long and in some cases causing the system to hang without ever deleting. I finally figured out what was causing my problem and decided to pass on what I found out in case it will be of use to any others.
After enabling “Show Hidden Nodes” for the scene tab, I noticed that there were over 3k “Reality_Scene_Data” nodes in one of my scenes! I never have used Reality for rendering but did try out LUX awhile back and still had the plug-in enabled so I can only assume that’s what was creating all those nodes. I disabled and removed the LUX DLL since I have no intention of ever using LUX again and manually deleted the 3K plus nodes from the scene a few hundred at a time.
After saving and reloading the scene to ensure that the nodes were not reappearing, I tested deleing some objects. Now items are deleting almost instantaneously. I should be fine for any new scenes I create from scratch but will have to clean up any old bloated scene files I use.
Is there anyway to remove the “Reality_Scene_Data” from files in a text editor outside of DAZ?

Yes...but the easier way is to load the scene, grab everything you want to keep in it and save that as a Scene Subset. Then load the subset and save as a new scene.Saving as a subset is necessary, because otherwise the Relaity stuff could transfer, too.
Thanks for the tip. Off to give it a try
Worked like a charm. I just selected all the excess nodes and put them in a group which I then unchecked when making the Scene Suset.
Yes. I uninstalled reality because it was creating hundreds of nodes in my scene files. studio hung when I tried to delete them.
Reality_Scene_Data is a legacy asset for Reality 2, they can append during mergers but Reality 4 does not create or need them.
