Little Ones for Genesis 3 - Chest Question / Problem?
Something isn't right here... I am using the Little Ones girl, with the associated clothes, and this is the result. To say the chest is unsettling would be an understatement. Is there a way to fix this? I looked through the parameters for the Figure as well as the shirt, but can't find anything.

Jason, are you using converted Poses? I ask because I had a problem with the chest area (can't see your image so I don't know if it's the same) and the pose had dialled in another shape, once I dialled the shape back to zero it worked fine.
When I posted your image turned up...that looks like another shape is dialled in somewhere/somehow. Are there any Shapes/JCM's that have dialled in that shouldn't have? I don't have the pose sets yet so can't check it out myself...
I used one of the default playground pose that came with the secondary bundle. I just didn't have the patience to try and dial in the tricycle pose myself. :)
And I was having trouble posting the image. Had to edit the message and reattach. I was probably doing that as you were reading / replying.
No problems...I just tried the shirt on gen3f with just cross figure dialled in and I'm seeing boob shapes...so I don't think it's you. Just trying to see if I can work out what's happening.
Render of shirt on Gen3F base with crossfigure no pose applied. I tried loading after I had morphed Gen3F to a little un shape and it's still showing as a problem.
Thanks. I gave up poking around and moved on to other parts of the image. I figured I could come back to this detail later.
The other tshirts work...I tried opening the dsf but it's encrypted. So I can't check if there is something in the file. It probably needs a bug report...
I think they're just compressed, not encrypted.
I looked at using zip genius to unzip and it didn't work...do you know which program will?
Are you using 4.9 beta? If so which version. The earlier versions downloaded (via DAZ connect) as encrypted, but I have read that does not happen in the later betas.
Also just check the pec bone movement. Some pose sets move it causing some distortion (mainly on smaller chested characters), try setting them to zero. On flat chested characters they don't really need to move. Might not solve the problem, but in some cases, does help.
Theory: Most likely the issue is all clothing is based on the G3F base, which has breasts. The little ones girls clothing has an morph to account for no breasts which the boys clothes don't. When you either crossfigure or autofit, the figure will have the breasts accounted (because of the autofit or crossfigure clone) for so when you apply it to the little girls, you have the breasts from the base. You would need to create a fit in your clothing for any girl which has no breasts or try to create something called a projection morph to project a breastless shape into all clothing, which is a pain to make.
The little girl tops do have breasts. Look closely at the green T-shirt thumbnail and you can see the breast shape in the shirt.
There is a workaround for this problem. If you apply smoothing, switch from base shape to generic, and bump the smoothing iterations to at least 10 (20 is better), the top will shape (more) correctly to the figure. Interestingly, if you leave it as base shape matching, the breasts get bigger in the clothing when you bump the iterations.
It should be noted that, unlike the characters, the clothing only comes with Iray shaders.
Go to Hidden in the parameters while clicked on the shirt and then at the top of the colomumn is FixBreastBase dial it to Zero and the weirdness disappears .
So far it's just the long sleeve shirt that does that .......so far.
Pain to make...maybe, but usually worth the effort. I'm just getting into making them for some of my work and am finding that in the long run the projection morphs are looking nicer overall. with less fiddling with the clothing.
Glad it worked for you - but that was the first thing I tried and it did nothing. Even dialing it negative had no effect.
All of the tops have breasts - some more prominent than others. For pre-schoolers, there should be no breast bulge at all - it should drape smoothly with no pec or breast shape noticable.
Carrie, please try to repost. The images are not coming through. Also, please remember that the max width should be set to 800, so the first image would need resizing.
You can fix this simple problem in 5 seconds by using the Morph Brush.......... sorry.
I abandoned Poser 6 months ago and while I'm loving DS, I'm sure as hell missing that little tool. Maybe in DS 5...sigh.
DS has a great moprh brush, it's called the Hexagon bridge.
(sorry, couldn't help it..)
I'll see your Hexagon bridge and raise you one Direct Manipulation Tool LOL.
Sorry, messed this up reply up.
Wanted to reply to somone that we the Customers should not have to fix this * chest * problem but the Vendor should fix and give us an upade of the product.
Also did he say that he created Shaders for everything when asked why there are no 3Delight Shaders for the clothe and hair.
My friend asked him on FB.
So I am hoping for an update with the 3Delight shaders and hopefully the chest problem fixed.
Thanks. That worked for me. Funny I was in that tab when I first started searching and didn't notice that first parameter.
I'm confused the images are showing for me Chris .....are they still not showing??
Glad I could help and if it makes you feel any better ,yea I didn't see that dial at first ,but poke and peak long enough ....and you can find all kinds of stuff !!
