*SOLVED * Genesis 3 Female finger issue

After applying some morphs to the Genesis 3 Femlae figure (and getting her just how I like), I notice that whenever the fingers are posed in a grasping way, I get this hideous effect:
Any suggestions?

It will help us troubleshoot if you tell us what program (Daz Studio?), the program version, just the genesis 3 female base, and where did the morphs come from: were they purchased (what package) or did you make them? Which morphs did you use that gave you this result? The more information you give us, the better. :)
Which morphs?
Can you post a screenshot with the bones showing? They will show up if you switch to the Joint Editor tool (looks like a bone with a pencil on it).
Sorry. This is DAZ Studio 4.8, Rayn figure (Genesis 3). All morphs were purchsed through DAZ3D. The only morphs that seem to cause this are ones where the hand is posed in a "grasping" motion.
@ mjc: I'll get right on that.
looks like you need to adjust the rigging to the shape. That usually clears up issues like that.
You said it's the Rayn figure that is basically a younger figure. How did you apply the Rayn morph and what other morphs did you use? Did you load G3 and then apply Rayn or did you load the Rayn character?
I loaded the Rayn character.
@ Lyoness: I'll try that! Thank you, everyone!
Still seem to be having this problem. Not sure if it affects anyone else.
So, I figured it out. The bone rigging is getting messed up. I can go into Edit>Rigging and fix it, but that's a pain to do every time I start up studio.
I would question how the bones are getting altered. Did you scale the hands manually or alter the length of the fingers? If so, with which dials?
Ive seen this happen with g2f before but not g3.
I've seen that before. It usually has something to do with multiple morphs sharing the same name.
Sillly question, but do you have any morphs converted from G1 or G2F to G3 using some of the excellent instructions floating around this forum? I converted some, then when the "native" G3 morphs hit the store, the conflicts started.
What Lyoness said!
MENU: Edit --> Figure --> Rigging --> Adjust Rigging to Shape
TOOL: Joint Editor --> [Right-click on selected figure] --> Memorize --> Memorize Figure Rigging
MENU: File --> Save As --> Support Asset --> Morph Asset(s) -->[Choose a new name]
I think that will save it with the new rigging. If not, save a copy of the whole figure after memorizing figure rigging:
MENU: File --> Save As --> Support Asset --> Figure/Prop Asset(s) -->[Choose a new name]
I've had this probelm a long time, but couldn't figure out what it was, before. In my original topic, I thought it was merely an issue with the fingers, but when I opened up the Joint Editor Tool, I see that it is an overall bone probelm with Genesis 3. And, that's not it. It seems to coincide with youth morphs/younger characters. If I have a normal, adult Genesis 3 Female, I don't have this issue. As you can see from the image, she looks fine wihn Zero Posed, but any morphs applied and the body does weird things because the bones aren't lined up/scaled properly.
Anyone know a way I can permanenetly fix this? I've also used the Edit>Figure>Rigging>Adjusting Rigging to Shape option, but it doesn't save the character like that. When I open the model back up, the bones are all messed up, again. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
Seems to be an overall bone problem when any younger morphs are applied.
You need to do an ERC freeze to lock the bones in place; I don't know if it's unique to me, but the last few times I've done these, I've found that I had to do the freeze step twice before it took.
Do I do this befor I apply any poses or any morphs? As in, do I need to do this on a Base Genesis 3 and then apply the youth/yonger morphs, or after I've apllied the younger morphs (still in the "T" pose), but before any other poses?
If so, why is that? Is there a morph that causes this? I never had such issues with Genesis or Genesis 2, so I'm just trying to understand! :P
Merged threads to avoid duplication of effort.
Are you using morphs of your own creation or morphs from the store or other third-party morphs?
Yup, me too. I was getting this problem with morphs I had transferred using GenX conflicting with morphs made for the figure but having the exact same name. I figured out which were duplicates and got rid of them and there is no more issue. Since this is tied to "youth" type morphs I'd go to the content->data file and search it and subdirectories for "you" (so you'll get ones named "youth" or "young") and see what pops up, if there are duplicate names, try getting rid of one set.
I believe so and if soneone would like to lock the other thread, I apologize and you can lock.
You believe so which - store, third-party but not Daz, or your own?
I believe they are morphs from the DAZ Store. Something to do with younger morphs (I believe this started with with Skyler) . All of my adult G3F figures don't have any such issue. It's one of those younger morphs, specifically. Just haven't pinned it down, yet.
So, it would appear that I've pinned it down to Growing Up for Genesis 3 Female(s). When I removed those morphs, the character in question no longer has these issues. Now the question becomes how to re-install this without it giving me that problem.
Growing Up morphs are fully rigged. Please check that all morphs you have dialled in are rigged. Are you using morphs you created yourself? Or transferred morphs?
Happy you chimed in! I apologize for the noob stuff, but how would one go about checking to see if all the morphs are fully rigged? And, as far as custom morphs, none of my own and none that are 3rd party, that I'm aware of.
Dial up morphs one by one and check if the bones follow the shape. Eg dial them up with bones visible. If not, that is the morph that isn't rigged, and will cause conflicts with rigging if a specific morph does not have bones that follow.
I applied Rigging to Shape, before. However, it doesn't save the character that way. So, I will try this solution.
I'd like to report back in on this. I solved the problem. Free morphs I got from ShareCG were causing this issue! For anyone else in this situation, check the morphs first! Thank you to everyone that helped out! Now I can use the wonderful Growing Up morphs as they were intended!
VISUIMAG.
I have had a thread running previously, with regard to the fingers of a straight forward G3F character deforming into flat like ribbbons, when using the Growing up morphs, and the Youth morph. i thought I had found the problem by saving the character, and when re-installing the character was okay.
However, I don't know why, but that wasn't the answer. I still the same problem if I then try to bend the fingers, they go thin and stretch into ribbons again.
You said that the Free morphs you got were causing this. Can you expand on that solution? I have ploughed through the Forums looking for an answer, and the only common denominator is the Age control element.
I'll see if I can upload some screen shots of the problem.
Cheers
Be glad to help :)
First, did you get any Genesis 2 to Genesis 3 morphs from sharecg?
