I really want to have access to the multitude of files on ShareCG, but the last time I looked at their registration you have to be 18 to use the site. Is this true for the entire site, or jus the user agreement because it is a legal agreement?

My friend's son was 17 1/2, God rest his soul and he thought lying about his age to register at ShareCG was just a formality... Within ten minutes ShareCG DeathBots arrived at his home and vaporized him and his iguana... True story. Okay, I may have made up the part about the iguana... And maybe the rest... Actually, I don't have any friends, but if I did I'm entirely sure that could happen... Probably.
Okay, I'll be serious... I'd imagine if you are just short of 18, there probably is no big deal in saying you are 18 or 57... Depending on your maturity level it's not a big deal for a few months or even a year, but if you are like 13 or 8, then maybe... There are quite a few things there that may not be "appropriate" for minors... Particularly anything I've placed there... the CHIA Hair alone has driven at least three people to madness and caused a chihuahua to commit suicide... So just consider that you still have your whole life ahead of you before you do anything rash like registering before you are mentally ready... Then again there are people who I know who are well, well, well over 18 that still act like they are under 12... Yeah, so that might be me, but that's beside the point...
I'd imagine that is for the whole site... But I'm not sure how you mean that? Once you are registered there is no follow up checking, or age tester... Basically there are no real filters there, so if you are underage you may be at risk of seeking or downloading something inappropriate which is probably one of the main reasons for the restrictions... That and kids that are jerks, and trust me I've seen my share of them and their annoying behavior there... It's mostly a legal requirement, but to be honest there is no way for them to really check... Well, except for the DeathBots, but that might not be real... Maybe. Don't abuse it if you are not near the required age is the main thing... If you just want some cool Horse Pants, Space Tanks or Canned Zombie Brains it's not a big deal... But if you are going there for age restricted materials... That's sorta violating the honor system of not lying about you age in the first place...
Be cool about what you do, and it's all good... Be a schnook and you help ruin it for everyone.
Would it be a breach of some sort of agreement or whatever to ask someone to get the files from the site and send them to me?

By registering, clicking "I Agree" or otherwise participating in the SHARECG File Sharing Program, You represent to SHARECG that You are at least eighteen (18) years of age or otherwise capable of entering into and performing legal agreements, and that You agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. If You register on behalf of a business, You represent to SHARECG that You have the authority to bind that business and Your acceptance of this Agreement will be treated as acceptance by that business. In that event, "You" and "Your" will refer to that business in this Agreement. If You do not accept this Agreement in full, please do not register for or participate in the SHARECG File Sharing Program."
If yes, this is because a minor without emancipation (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emancipation_of_minors) can not enter into a legally binding contract. The user agreement on ShareCG is an agreement (contract) between you and ShareCG. From my reading of the agreement, it is my opinion, that the intent of the agreement is to hold harmless ShareCG from unacceptable or illegal activity conducted by registered members of the site. For example uploading copyrighted material or material that is sexually explicit.
If you sign/accept the agreement and declare you are over 18, then if ShareCG is contacted by your parents or the authorities about your being on the site then they can state that you mis-represented yourself after they had taken reasonable precautions to only offer the site to adults.
If you are concerned about registering then my advice would be to have your parent or guardian register on your behalf since they are already legally liable for your activities.
As for whether you are mature enough to be on the site answer this question.
If your parents/guardian were asked if you mature enough to make the moral decision not to download/upload copyrighted material, and if you would be okay seeing nudity or suggestive/offensive language, and they said yes, then I think you are okay to go on the site.
Do your parents/guarduian know you are on Daz 3D? Have they seen the racey outfits displayed here? Were they okay with it?
A good number of freebies don't allow redistribution, so having someone send the files to you would indeed not be allowed.
A word of caution about lying concerning ages ... it is the one piece of information that on many sites can NOT be changed later on.
You can change your name, your address, your financial information; but not your age.
But... But.. But... my age is constantly changing... Does this mean if I sign up at Share CG, I'll forever be 41 years 11 months 12 days 21 hours 42 minutes old? if so, sign me up at 18...
Wording, right ... it's your birthdate you can't change lol and ergo the resulting age you'd be with such as your fixed birthdate ... presupposing one is not a cat with 9 lives lol ...
ShareCG does not ask for your date of birth. Please see attached.
