Overpriced Anatomy

So I've had my eye on the Anatomy 4 Pro Bundle for awhile now, but I just noticed something. The Anatomy Pro Bundle contains exactly the contents of the Male Anatomy Bundle + the Female Anatomy Bundle with the addition of the DAZ Brain. However when you combine all of those, the Anatomy 4 Pro Bundle is $7.10 MORE expensive than buying the parts separately. I thought bundles are meant to offer savings?

I haven't put in a ticket in case I've missed something, so if I have, please point it out.

Working out and details:

I think originally that was the idea of bundles... In general, in stores, software and life... Then the beast of marketing reared its ugly head and saw what was and how it could bent to do its foul bidding... Now, unless there is a sale and I know the total price, I just assume it is to save people time in tracking down all the stuff in the bundle and adding a small surcharge for the effort. This is not to say DAZ always does this, but is meant as a general observation of all retailers... It is especially bad with tools, where you get one or two good items and two or three terrible items you'd never ever buy all for the low price of slightly more than what it would cost for all of them separately.

I think that generally Daz bundles offer a saving (assuming you want enough of the items, but usually it doesn't take many for it to become worth it.)

My completely random guess is that what happened here is that prices changed on some of the bundles or something, and other bundles didn't change to match.

But I'm terrible at math and I don't have all of the products to compare so I wasn't sure if I was missing something about the pricing.

    The female bundle is:
    V4 Skin: 19.95
    V4 Muscle Morphs: 19.95
    V4 Muscle Maps: 19.95
    V4.2 Base: 29.95
    V4 Morphs++: 29.95
    V4 Skeleton: 29.95
    V4 Organs: 19.95

    Total: $169.65
    Bundle price: 99.95

So you can see the male and female bundles offer massive savings over buying the parts separately. The complete Anatomy bundle does the opposite.

    price looks pretty good today

All of the bundles and items I listed are discounted by the same amount. You still lose money buying that bundle over buying the male+female bundles + brain.

What makes you think you'd get away without paying "an arm and a leg" ? wink

Okay well since no one's pointed out any issues, I put in a ticket so that the sales team can eyeball it. Hopefully that'll give the bundle a hand in getting a leg up on the other bundles by becoming worthwhile to grab.

Pretty sure that bundle was created to be sold with a big discount on it initially. I know it is a fairly recent addition to the store and that for most of the life of those products they were only available individualy. In other words they didn't really expect it to sell at that 222 dollar price. I suppose they could have pulled it from the store after that discount but then it wouldn't be there to discount again.

Ah, I thought it might be something like that. All they need to do is adjust the total price slightly so that it's better than buying the separate bundles and while it might not be the best deal in the universe, it'll at least make sense with the usual bundle structure of being the cheapest way to buy all of the things. I think it's important for their customers that their products all follow the same standards as each other.
