Go to My Account > Product library here, you should find it there if you search for 4.8

The Product Library has them as .exe files (if you are Windows PC) which you can manually download from there to save them.

You'll also want to grab and back up the matching plugin versions for the Photoshop and GoZ Bridges (if you use them) - both linked from that page - and for Decimator and Dynamic Clothing Control (if you bought them - you'll need to locate them via the search box at the top of the page) as they work only with the version of DS they were made for.

If you installed the latest version through DIM, then you could instead copy the .zip files and .dsx files downloaded to your DIM download library (assuming you didn't set them to delete after installation) then you can copy them back into the DIM download library from your external drive [ETA end of sentence!] if you need to reinstall that version. Act soon because once the version updates to 4.9 you'll lose access to the 4.8 ones.

4.8 will remain available for download in DIM or manually until 4.9 goes live, which is currently still in beta

Neat point, @Havos - I was just typing the same note as you posted it!

that is the reason why I was asking, in my opinion DAZ should offer also the older versions not only the latest.

so I have downloaded just the ZIP of DS 4.8 64 Bit pro, I hope that all products shown up at the bottom of the product page (containing) are included in this ZIP and there is no need to download them seperately.

No they are not in the DS Zip.  That is why they are shown as icons at the bottom of the download page.  You will need to download whichever of those you need as well.

When you say "ZIP" - are you on a Mac rather than a PC? Because the PC files are .exe - not sure that the .zip files on the Product Library will be any use on a PC.

There are no more exe's. Everything is in zip format. It's been that way for quite some time

The installers for DAZ Studio and some plugins downloaded through the Product library still seem to be in .exe format, Frank?

Yes, the actual program installers are...but everything else is platform independent zips.

Cosmo, are you sure you downloaded a DS 4.8 zip?     That would be the Mac version.  If you are on Windows you need the exe from the product library

Sorry I thought for some reason you were talking about content. That'll teach me to read up more. I didn't even notice what thread this was.
