Can't fit Braces to any figure.

This seems like a pretty basic thing, but nothing works! Load in a figure, add attachment, "fit to", nothing works. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

    What braces?

    and what figure?

  • Braces for G2F, I can bring them into the scene. I just can't fit them to any figure. Even using the "Fit To" function. They stay floating to where they were brought in. If I'm exact with the x,y and z, I can move the G2F Braces axis to the correct location, but that does no good for a moving figure. They are under "Accessories". SKU:17869

    Presumably these  http://www.daz3d.com/braces-for-genesis-2-female-s

    Says on the store page

The Braces will auto conform to the upper and lower jaw when loaded. They contain morphs to fit to Victoria 6, Teen Josie, Girl 6, Growing Up for Genesis 2 Female (Youth Morph only), Gia 6 and Olympia 6. There are included pose files to auto position the braces to the listed character shapes and will even auto dial the required morph. When mixing different character shapes you will need to manually adjust the position and morph of the braces to fit. For that purpose the X,Y,Z translation and rotation dials for the braces have had the sensitivity adjusted so you can easily move and rotate them in very small increments. Seven color options are included and one default mat pose. There is also a default pose file that will zero the position and morphs. Please note, the braces do not auto fit/follow Genesis 2 Female as you dial in and mix character shapes.

Is G2f selected when you load the braces?

  • Sorry, I think I read over a line or two in the product description. I didn't have a "pure" G2F loaded, I had included a morph dial from a different (non-base) G2F figure and so the braces wouldn't conform. Just tried it again using a "vanilla" G2F and it worked. Thanks, sorry to waste anyone's time!

You can still fit them to non-vanilla G2F figures. Load them in the usual way then select them in the Scene panel.

Now use the translate (and possibly scale) controls in the Parameters panel to move (and resize) them.
