Iray opacity map problem

Hello, I am having trouble using iray rendering.  The opacity maps do not work like the 3delight. See pictures:

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

    I've never seen transparent denim jeans..  so i'm confused as to what you're trying to do.

    But to answer your question, if you're asking the right question, turn off limits on cutout opacity and raise it higher than 1, try 1.25 or 1.5, you have to play with it to find the right value for the specific need.

    I have found that Iray is more senstive to trans maps.

    First thing to try is clcik on the Trans map thumb in the surface pane and from the list choose "Image Editor" and set the Image Gamma to 1.00,

    If that doesn't work load the trans map in Gimp/Photoshop etc and make sure the image is in Grayscale Mode and not RGB.

    If that helps but not perfect you might want to try saving the transmap out as a 16 Bit Tiff and see if that helps further.
