Missing Tabs

On my old computer in the content pane I had two tabs, one was "catagories" and the other was an "A to Z" listing of content, on my new computer they are missing. Can anyone tell me how to set them up on my new computer? Also the smart content pane is empty...

  • That sounds as if the CMS was not isntalled or is not communicating with DAZ Studio. If you used DIM to install is PostgreSQL listed as installed? If you just copied your old content across from the previous machine, rather than reinstalling, did you re-import metadata (and, if you did any customisation, did you export user data on the old machine)? What security software are you using?

I uninstalled Daz 4.8 and reinstalled it and the "catagories" and "A to Z" came back onto my content pane but they appear to be empty. Any idea how to get them to show my installed content?

  • Are you sure the content is installed correctly - the Data and Runtime folders in the folders you have selected as content directories, not in sub-folders. If it is, and if you copied the content across from your old machine rather than installing it afresh, you probably need to reimport metadata to rebuild the database - go to the Content Library pane and open the option menu (lined button in the top corner, or right-click the tab), select Content DB Maintenance, check Reimport Metadata and click Accept for that dialogue and the next dialogue.
