The red 'Purchased' button has been replaced with a "Produc Owned"statement and no button. Ocassionaly I might want to repurchase an item to get a better discount on a purchase. But now there is no way to repurchase an item.![]()
Definitely not a good feature. Please go back to having the 'Purchased' button to allow intentional repurchase of an item.

likely by design for just that reason
Some pages still have the purchased button. Looks like it's a bit of code as well-implemented as the Outlet corner flash.
I’m confused. How would repurchasing an item be efficient? Do they reimburse the previous purchase (and does it matter how long ago it was)??? That would seem an unusual practice if so.
I would assume this is for cases where adding one of a caegory makes the order total less than the original order without the item, we had one at the weekend where you needed to buy froma category that was empty for me. However, I though trying to add to cart with the Purchased button had been broken for a while anyway.
This won't prevent me from buying a package if I already own some of the packages within that bigger package, will it?
No, only if you already own the actual package.
No, that should work fine.
It's been useful for deals like "Buy 1 from this category, Get a discount on 10 from this other category" where the buy-in is unwanted, so the cheapest item is rebought repeatedly to keep triggering the deal. Or as Richard pointed out, if someone already owns all the buy-ins, they could repurchase one to participate in the sale.
Often when I open a product listing I see the Add to Cart button even if I already own the product, so I've had to refresh each and every page to be sure I'm not accidentally buying something I already own. The Product Owned label actually seems to fix that now, which is nice.
While it may fix the add to cart issue it raises another one. What if I want to repurchase an item toin order to be able to participate in a sale??? We need some way to repurchase items if desired!
No, you will get a discount proportional to the parts you already own.
There was a News Years eve sale a few years back where buying one item from a select number of items would allow you to get a free Genesis 8 Pro Bundle. There were like 8-10 qualifying items in the list. But It was possible to get unlimited free Genesis 8 Pro Bundles by simply rebuying the cheapest item in the list, which was less than a dollar if I remember correctly.
Is this new? Because in the past I never got such a discount. I paid full price for a sub package. Then the entire pacage went on sale and the entire package was cheaper than the sub package that I bought. I was charged the regular sale price of the package.
Haha, in that context I can see why they would want to disable rebuys. :) But I agree with others that it's important to have a way for shoppers to participate in a sale when they already own all the available buy-ins, at least for some types of sales. They could use a coupon code for deals like free bundles to have the best of both worlds.
I have been doing that for at least six months, maybe more. Daz had dabbled in it before, offering bundles with reductions for parts you already owned. They might have found it successful enough that they made it a permanent feature sometime last year. I believe it encourages people to continue buying the rest of the bundle, when many would unwillingly, or at least, reluctantly, pay for the same items twice (or more) if they decided that they actually wanted the rest.
I'm side-eyeing "PRODUCT OWNED".
I don't own it. I licensed it.
If I owned it, then I could give it away or sell it, but I don't so I can't. It may be a nit-picky point, but I expect the distinction would be one DAZ3D cares about. That's all.

That changed last year, I think in the summer. It's great.
I may have horribly abused that one back in April 2020.
If you "bought" the April Fools banana suit along with one of the new releases, you got to have $20 off a selection of other Daz Originals. And there was a new release that came out to a little over $2, so I ended up repurchasing that something like fifteen times...
Of course, the joke may be on me, as I probably haven't *used* most of the stuff I got that way.
Let's add the caveat, except for certain flash sales and OS bundles where no further discount applies, because I've bought packs where I owned an item or two (or more!) and I didn't get a credit for items already owned - Also note, I felt the deal was still good enough to go through with the sale, but no discount for items owned applied. And there have been times where the deal was no longer good enough and I didn't buy. Does that make sense?
I haven't seen any items where the 'purchased' button is still there. I haven't looked beyond a few recent purchases.
It looks like the new feature comes with the beginning of a product rating system, though that's restricted to like/didn't like. I haven't felt like actually pressing them to see what happens. The very few times I've got a product I really didn't like, I returned them.
Ah, I thought that User Rating line on the product page was new - it wasn't there yesterday.
Where are you seeing the like/didn't like buttons? I've not seen them yet.
I didn't see the like/dislike buttons yesterday. Today I'm seeing them directly beneath the "Product Owned" line
Under the purchased text in green:
Ah, I looked at my purchases from yesterday and there are no buttons there. I went back to a few purchases from the days before and there they are.
I wonder if there's a 24-hour delay or something to give us the chance to install and try them before rating.
ETA: No, a hard refresh does the trick.
It feels like a new feature, maybe one they added today or yesterday.
Edit: funny, the 'Not enough ratings yet. Be the first to rate this product' doesn't change even after I clicked on I Like it:
I suspect that's a caching issue. Reloading the page will probably get you the new elements (or not, multi-layered web caching being a whole thing and prone to going wrong in mysterious ways).
I find the new implementation more than a little ugly. The 'Product Owned' is aligned with the price on the left side of the page, while the "Do you like this?" text and buttons are aligned to the vertical center of the download button. But that puts the 'Product Owned' text out of alignment with the download button that's immediately next to it. Previously, the red 'Purchased' was aligned to the top of the download button (if I remember correctly), which looked better.
If I were designing it, I think I'd want to make the 'Product Owned' a solid-colored block with white text on it, and have that aligned vertically with the download button, then place the ratings widget underneath it. Having the 'Product Owned' text floating there with half its height above the download button looks clunky (to my eyes, at least).
EDIT: The screenshot above looks fine, and it took me a moment to realize what the difference is. It's that the download button doesn't appear on it. Is that download button a non-standard element introduced by the DAZ Deals plug-in? That doesn't seem likely, but the page has clearly been designed on the assumption that that button won't be there. Very mysterious.
Below is what I see:
One missing feature of the Purchased red button on the new Product Owned text is that the Purchased red button was a link to the product in our daz3D.com products library (I don't think it's a feature of Daz deals because Daz Deals is adding its own icon to access the product library).
The feature is of limited use as far as I can tell, the store still isn't batting a thousand when it come to what I've purchased. I still have the option to accidentally re-purchase something that I'd really rather not.
I've purchased the Leona 9 HD Character Bundle, for example, but I'm still welcome to repurchase the bundle again or, if not the whole bunde, any of the pieces. This has made shopping in the store far less enjoyable as of late as I sometimes spend more time making sure I haven't purchased something than I do finding things I *want* to purchase.
And meanwhile we can't repurchase an item if we want to. Grrr!
It needs more than one rating before it will show an overall rating.
I have made it my mission to go to all those solid black neon-lit Daz+ freebie product pages and rate them
. Almost every one of those product pages opens with "Add to Cart", even though I own the product. I have to refresh the page to get it to say purchased. Then when I click the thumbs down to rate it, I almost always get an error message. Then I have to refresh the page again and wait, wait, wait and then it finally takes the thumbs down (don't like) rating.
The implementation of this new rating system could use some improvement to the UI.
@Barbult has a point about those d+ freebies. A lot of them are a waste of time. And as freebies there's nothing to return.
