Are the stones useable (and moveable) individually or is it just a single circle prop?

Thanks,

The 3 standing stones are a single prop, although each one is a separate material zone.

  • Thanks Mike. Even on sale, I only wanted it if I could rearrange the standing stones; so you saved me a couple of dollars (or the trouble of returning it)

I've had to do something like this before (in fact, I'm doing it right now), but you might be able to find something on ShareCG that you could bring into Blender (or Hexagon) and pretty much have your way with.  I found a model of Stonehenge there.  Unfortunately, the model depicts the structure as it was originally built, and not as it currently appears, so I'm having to Blender the crap out of it!  (Fortunately, I found a map of the stone placement from around 2008, that depicts the level of deterioration from its original state.)

    There's also this: http://www.daz3d.com/dm-s-stones-of-graith .

I don't have it -- yet -- but if the stones are modeled as individual objects....

If you are are trying to model Stonhenge as it exists there is also this you could work with:

    Hoovered!!

I just hope all the stones are modeled as individual objects (or can be made so in Blender).  Because my plan is to destroy it even more!  (By a fifteen-year-old kid, in the 'Ultimate Selfie Fail'!)

    Thanks for the tip!

Thank you so much, Charlie!  I do believe this is going to work!

It's modeled as a single object/mesh, but there's a Blender trick that resolved that issue: the 'L' keyboard shortcut; select any vertex, press 'L', and Blender will follow all edges that emanate from that vertex, and any others that are connected by edges, and select those vertices, as well.

Using that shortcut, I was able to move/reposition a number of sarcens, and made it look like the aftermath of that scene from National Lampoon's European Vacation!  (Still a bit of vertical tweaking to do, but I actually think I'm going to be able to pull this one off!)
