Convert dialed expressions to bone expressions.

So I want to use Genesis 8 characters in a game engine. I am able to export them with different tools, including Daz's own Unity Export tool with no issues.

However, the problem is that right now, if I want my character to have some facial expressions, I have to export a lot of morphs and that is bad for memory.

I want to have a set of animations instead. I can manually create expressions via Blender and save them as animations, but that's a very long process.

Is there a way to just go through some dialed expressions, set the bones to match that expression and then export an animation file? Something fitting the rig after you morph it?

"Adjust rigging to shape" doesn't work.

Or... If someone already has a collection for Genesis 8 and 9 and I can buy it (with the license, of course) please point me to it.

Many thanks in advance, folks. Have a great day.

If the expressions are Pose Control properties, you can convert them to joint rotations by using Bake to Transforms (Edit > Figure > Bake to Transforms).

Thanks a lot for the answer, however it doesn't work.

I go to pose control -> Expressions, I slide in "angry", for example, then I go to bake to transforms and it resets the slider and the face returns to its neutral position.

Yes, I see this with Angry HD - I'm not sure why it would be failing. it does the same in the 2026 Public Beta.

I've not used the function for quite a while but I tried.... Both DS 4.24 / 6.x Beta failed me ~~ I don't know why ~~ The function used to work in previous 4.2x version though it has low performance.

there is a plugin for Blender that converts vertex animations to weightmapped bones

it's a lot of messy bones though and I forgotten what it was called and cannot find it (not in my addons)

    Google only suggests expensive addons

now there are some out there suggestions I have

render a video of your expressions and use PoseRecorder https://www.daz3d.com/poserecorder or an external program  to animate the facial bones from the video
