Sometimes DAZ promotions angers and confuses me

I love DAZ. I love their products. I love their forum. But sometimes I find their sales quite confusing. And the wording in this weekends "March Madness" is the most confused I've ever been.
Someone needs to be more clear when they do the write ups.
There is mention of having a SILVER or STAR attached to your account.
And if you have a SILVER star if you "Purchased 1 of the previous 3 days over $1.
A GOLD star if "Purchased 2 of the previous 3 days over $1.
Purchase what of? A previous item? Over the previous days?
I checked my account and I have NO stars and I did purchase several items yesterday?
I even put 5 items in my account, went to check out and all items were at their regular price.
You need to clarify where these stars can be found and what exactly is "of the previous".
You need to be more clear where these STARS can be found.
Sorry but I do not need this confusion in my life.
However today is an exception, usually shopping at DAZ is a very pleasant and rewarding experience.
Cheers and sorry for the rant, but I am being honest.

And YES the items I had in my cart where those listed as the sale items.
It's previous days, if you purchased on one of the previous three days you get a Silver star, on two or three of the previous three days you get a gold star. There isn't curently an indicator, but the prices should tell you which if any you have. Going forward it will continue to be the three days before the current day that count - purchase on eone day, silver star, on two or three days, gold star. It doesn't count more than one purchase on any day as extras, and it doesn't update for purchases during the day.
Purchase of what? Of any product (I'm pretty sure gift cards are excluded) above $1.
When? To have a silver star today, you would have to made one purchase above $1 in the last 3 days.
To have a gold star today, you would have to made 2 purchases above $1, one a day, in the last 3 days.
If you haven't made any qualifying purchases in the last 3 days, you have no stars today.
If today, you buy a product over $1 (outlet and quick grab usually counts, but it has to be $1 before the tax) you will have a silver star tomorrow.
If today and tomorrow you buy something over $1 (as above), you will have a gold star on Monday.
This works exactly like golden tickets and punch cards of the past. Today's purchase gives you bonuses in the next days.
Hope this helps.
Exactly.I still have the same confusion and no offense to Richard, his reply only added to the confusion.
YES I did purchase several items yesterday, how do I know if they qualify?
This sale was not very well worded and needs to be re-written.
Did they cost over $1 (before any tax was added)? If yes, then they qualify and you have a silver star today. To double check you can either put a full priced item in the cart and see if you're getting 10% off it, or put Sophia for Genesis 9 into the cart and see if you're getting her for $4.99.
I don't know how to say it clearer. There's only so many ways you can explain the same thing, so unless you can say what specifically you don't understand about this sale, I'm out of options to help you.
You should know by now that the marketing department seems to have a hard time with the English/American language.
Qualification is a purchase over 1 $ (gift cards excluded).
If you have fullfilled that I don't know what is going on.
Then the ad should have been written as :
"If in the last 3 days you have purchased an item with a purchase price of $1 you earn a SILVER star."
"If in the last 3 days you have purchased 2 items with a purchase price of $1 you earn a GOLD star."
English is a easy language, it is authors who convolte it. If you do not believe then attempt to get past the first 20 pages of a DH Lawrence or James Joyce novel.
And WHY I much prefer the plain English of American pulp fiction authors.
I also used EARN over GET. In the real word you GET NOTHING for free. You EARN it.
Cheers and thanks for the confusion... :-)
Not meant offense to anyone.
I doubt that is consistent with how it works. With respect to previous sales, I would say it almost certainly needs to be purchases on different days, whereas your phrasing would potentially allow those purchases to be on the same day (even the same order).
It is most likely "If you have made a non-gift card purchase over $1 in the last three days, you have a silver star" and "if you have made another non-gift card purchase over $1 on a different one of those last three days, you have a gold star instead".
What is the "one" that is required? Someting from the MM page or can it be anything(except GCs of course)in the store?
Except that what you wrote suggests that if you made a single purchase with 2 items over 1$ each you get a gold star, which is wrong.
The actual rules would be:
Where a qualifying purchase is a purchase of anything (probably excluding buying gift cards and memberships) with a total of at least 1$ before taxes.
Any purchase, as long as the before tax price is more than $1, except gift cards. Even Outlet & Quick Grab items work.
Thanks.
I got a discount on a new PC item somehow. I guess because I bought something yesterday.
BINGO. That needs to be explained.
This screen capture was in my original post but it appears to have disappeared. I was quoting what DAZ had posted.
Hopefully this time it does not disappear.
The only "one"s I see are referring to days - one day with a purchase of over $1 (before tax, not a Gift card or subscription) out of the three before today, whichever that is (so, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday for today) and you get a Sliver star. And if you purchase on two or three of the three days before this one then you get a gold star.
Sorry Richard my intent was not to offend you OR anyone. I find the wording confusing. I find it offensive that you are arguing I am wrong. It is my opinion the wording is confusing. It is your opinion it is not. I respect your opinion. Why are you not respecting mine? And regardless of how much you attempt to bully me or persuade me, I will maintain, the wording is confusing, terrible, and not straight forward.
I do not have a personal issue with you. You seem to be a bright, honest and caring person. So please respect my opinion. Lets not get into the gutter over this issue.
Cheers and please take care...

IIRC, my experience was that the purchases made on "previous" days meant only previous Madness days, so whatever I purchased before day one didn't count. Day two was the earliest that I could expect a star. I'll add my vote for clearer wording.
Hallelujah!

I had no intent of doing any of that. You have asked a couple of tiimes what "one" meant so I was trying to explain, hoping that slightly different wording would help. I don't understand why this is confusing, but I certainly don't dispute that it is for a number of posters (and prrobably a larger number who haven't posted).
Based upon your history of posting on the DAZ Forums, your posts are always positive and an offer to assist.
You are a valueable asset to DAZ!
Perhaps it was NOT your wording, but more likely I was in a little too sensitive and a bit tired.
I find with age, I often get a little too cranky too quickly. In January I turned 72! Ouch!
It is I who should appologyze to you. The matter is over.
Take care my friend...
