How are you installing the product?
I'm using DIM so the rest of that message is based on using it: un-installing and re-installing a product should have fixed the problem as far as I understand how DIM works.
The pictures used by Smart Content as an icon for products are stored inside /Runtime/Support.
In the case of Rosita, it's located here:
/Runtime/Support/DAZ_3D_81114_Rosita_for_Genesis_8_and_8_1_Female.jpg
I would check if that picture is okay first.
If it's not, replace it by the main promo render, resized: the original one is a 114x148 picture, but as long as you respecting a 10 by 13 picture ratio, you can go higher if you want (I'm using 380x494 pictures myself, following recommendation from Content Wizard I think).
If it's okay, I don't know what's happening. Same thing if you're using Daz Connect to install products. But maybe someone else will have better idea.
i installed it via the DIM, i tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it still persists, it seems to be temporary fixed if i re import meta data from the content db maintenance
Is /Runtime/Support/DAZ_3D_81114_Rosita_for_Genesis_8_and_8_1_Female.jpg corrupted?
That runtime folder is the one from the library used by DIM to install content (by default the one called 'My DAZ 3D Library').
If it's not corrupted the problem is elsewhere but I don't know where: I also have Rosita in my library, and I don't have any problem with the Smart Content icon.
i dont know how to check if its corrupted, I REALLY NEED HELP I DONT KNOW WHY IT KEEPS DOING THIS FOR ME the image was fine until that random crash and Uninstalling the figure and reinstalling doesnt work I REALLY DONT WANT TO END UP ASKING FOR A REFUND :(
Go to the file in file manager and double click it, and if fine it will show in your image viewer of choise.
When a picture is corrupted, any program opening it should show a problem.
You can search for 'DAZ_3D_81114_Rosita_for_Genesis_8_and_8_1_Female.jpg' in File Explorer/Windows Explorer if you're using Windows, or Finder if you're using MacOS. Once the picture is found, you can check the preview, if it's not showing any problem, the next step is to open the picture (double clicking on it) and check if something doesn't feel right.
If more than one picture is found, check were they are both located and remove the one that is not in the library where Rosita is installed (by default, it should be installed in 'My DAZ 3D Library'
You can also get to the picture manually, by following these steps:
1. Open Daz Studio
2. Right click on 'My DAZ 3D Library' (if My DAZ 3D Library is where Rosita is installed) and then click on 'Browse to Folder Location'.
At that point, Daz Studio should open a window of File Explorer/Windows Explorer if your computer is using Windows, or of Finder if you're using MacOS. That window will open at the root of the library.
3. Open the Runtime folder, then the Support folder inside it, and search for 'DAZ_3D_81114_Rosita_for_Genesis_8_and_8_1_Female.jpg'
If it's corrupted, you can try to replace it manually by a non corrupted picture and see if it fix the problem.
You can get it from the archive, here or by saving the main render which is located here: https://gcdn.daz3d.com/p/81114/i/rositaforgenesis8and81female00maindaz3d.jpg (make sure it's saved as a jpg image).
If it's not corrupted, I don't know what could cause the problem (maybe Daz Studio has a corrupted copy elsewere but I don't know where it could store it).
At that point, if no one else has chimed in with a solution, before asking for a refund, I would open a ticket with Technical Support: they have a better understanding of Daz Studio that I do and will hopefully knows what could cause the problem.
ok so the photo was corrupted and at 0kb which was after that daz crash, i had to copy the image and replace it as well as deleting Rosita via install manager and then reinstall it and then reimport the meta data and it finally worked (i double checked just to now and the image is still there no broken corrupted issues) it was just really stressful though
update-thought it worked but then again when i open the daz today the image broke again untill i re-import metadata for it :(
