Hair shader issue

Hi everyone,
I’m having some trouble with this shader: Revolution - Omni Shader Presets For Strand Based Hairs.
The shader is misbehaving with two specific hair items, even though it works fine with another. I’m applying it as I usually do and other shaders (even those for clothing) work without any issues.
The hair items giving me trouble are:
• Untamed Long Hair for Genesis 9, 8.1 and 8
• HS City Braids Hair For Genesis 9, 8 and 8.1
I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. Does anyone know how to fix?

    I don't have the first, but I has the second.

    And the second is a plygon (classic) hair, and Revolution only works on Strand Based Hair (SBH aka dForce hair).

    It is not clear from the product description whether the first also is a polygon hair.

    It seems to be "polygon" hair, though ti is made of lines.

    Ok, so it looks like it's just a compatibility issue between products. I've never quite understood the 'rules' for hair shaders, but as long as Daz is working, that's what matters... Thanks everyone for the replies!
