Did you run the initialize file that comes with them?

  • 3.1 is rather an old version, though it should matter for this. How did you isntall - with the Install Manager, from Product Library zips, or using an archived installer? If the latter, exactly which packages did you install?

um I'm not sure what you mean,I had installed and activated dazstudio4.8 and installed v4 m4 and it did active them,at least it said it,but I seriously can not use 4.8,nothing in it makes sense and I couldn't even find v4 or m4 in 4.8,so I uninstalled it and went back to daz3

I re downloaded the files from my product liberary a few days ago, they are winrar zip archives and I extract them to daz3d\studio

am I doing something wrong because it has been several years since I had to do this and I have forgotten all the tricks

  • DAZ 3D\Studio sounds like the wrong path, if youa re using the defaults. If you just unzipped you will also have added a Content folder to the folder you unzipped to which, unless your content directory is \DAZ 3D\Studio\Content, is not desirable. In any event, in the folder you installed to go to Runtime\Libraries\!DAZ and double-click the DzCreateExPFiles-v4.bat file.

ok I'll try that and let you know

  • Richard your suggestions unfortunately did not work, the file Dzcreate did not show up in the V4 file with the morphs,so I copy and pasted it into the file folder double clicked, opened daz3 loaded vicki up went to pose and double clicked on the morphs++ icon and nothing changed.....you know I'm gettting a bit disheartened about this...

What do you mean that the batch file did not appear in the V4 file (folder, I assume) with the morphs? There should be a \Runtime\Libraries\!DAZ folder that has the DzCreateExPFiles-v4 batch file, and the DzCreateeExPFiles utility, plus a Victoria 4 folder with lots of files and folders inside it. None of these are meant to show in the DS Interface. The \Runtime\Libraries\Character\DAZ People\Victoria 4.2.cr2 should be in the same location, as should \Runtime\Geometries\DAZPeople\blMilWom-v4b.obj - the Runtime folder in all thsoe paths should be the same and should be in your content directory - My DAZ 3D Library .in Public Documents, for example.
