HI y'all! smiley

I love this wonderful Daz Community on this forum... I read, but due to my difficulties, I can't write.

I created some free textures (for the yomiuri overalls) gift for the holidays, which I'm linking now because I haven't been well.

I also created 2 textures in 3 Sets for everyday use. I hope you enjoy them and they're useful for your beautiful renders.

I'm waiting to see your render if you want...
..... Happy Render! heart

Please let me know if it works...

Now the download link is:

Thanks for your patience :)

    Hello,

Thank you for these textures smiley and I hope you'll be getting better !

Many of the presets will not load properly due to path errors: as far as I can tell, all the necessary files are included in your archives because after fixing the various paths in the mats and h.mats presets, I was able to load everything without any error.

As there is no need to redo that work, if you want, I can sent you the corrected files (I only changed the wrong paths) either by attaching them in a future message or by sending you a private message with a link to download them.

I've now corrected the name of the textures folder, which had a broken name.

    You're really kind... smiley
Could you please check if it works now?

If not, you can email me and tell me what I did wrong, you find it in the Documentation file.

    Thanks.

It also reports that this file is missing: , "/C:/Users/Camelia/Pictures/! 0 Fibre x Textures/Cotton 01/Cotton-fabric-texture-DrittoFilo_4000x4000.jpg"

I tried with the latest version and after loading all of them, I didn't get any missing file errors.

A question: I made medatata for your freebie and the overalls from Yomiuri. For your textures pack, I set CamyS as the artist name. Is it correct or do you have another preference ?

It's very easy to change before sharing them.

I don't know how the metadata works, but the textures folder is now renamed to "CamyS_GA".

If it isn't a problem, then only "CamyS" is fine as you wrote.

Thanks. Could you please post a link so anyone can download it?

To give you an idea, here's how it looks (I'm using an icon I created, using the figures I'm using to create icons for the various yomiuri's products I created metadata for):

For the artist's name, visible on the first screenshot, I put CamyS but if you prefer another one, it only takes a couple of seconds to change it.

It's also useful to have .tip.png images too. The standard/"DAZ required for PA's" .tip.png image size is 256x256, but given the high pixel per inch figures of current displays, I tend to go for 512x512, 512x256 or 256x512 pixel images for these. It's amazing how small they can be. The attached image is 256Wx512H and is included in the pose directory, naming scheme:

    Pose: Walking 19.duf

    Thumbnail 91x91 pixels: Walking19.duf.png

    Tip image 512x512 or 256x512 or 512x256: Walking 19.tip.png

I render the thumbnail and tip images immediately after saving the pose/model/material .duf file. Hope this random, unsolicited, advice makes sense.

    Regards,

    Richard

Outside of the icon for the product itself (the picture with two women wearing the overalls), I didn't touch any of the pictures visibles on my screenshot and @Angel_X did provide 256x256 tip.png pictures.

About the rest of your message, I don't see the appeal of using a non squared picture as a tip.png.

  • Just saves file size in a response to objections that they are bigger than the 256 square ones, no other reason. Regards, Richard.

    @elor : "CamyS" is ok.

    looks great!

    @richardandtracy : I am an artist, not a vendor even if I would like ... I put a lot of effort to donate a well-made freebie. :)

DS create "*.tip" file at 256x256 pxl which I replace with the render at the same resolution. I have an HD monitor on my notebook and 256x256 pxl of the thumbnail I see it big.

What's your problem. Do you have a small monitor with 4K resolution?

  • No, I get a headache with 4k monitors - I have a 24" 1920x1080 monitor, at 94 pixels per inch. But with a 27" 4k monitor the pixels per inch is close to 200, which means a 256x256 tip image isn't much over 1.25".. and my eyes are starting to think that's a bit on the small side. In the future, pixels per inch are not going to reduce, quite the reverse. Regards, Richard.
