So often I see armor, male or female, but particularly male, that is so unsatisfactory because it lacks detail or has unusual holes around the groin (LOL) or is in some way not *iconic*.
And then I saw Salamis' Mercenary.
INSTANT purchase. Didier my friend -*very* nice work. Had to be said.

I like it, too; a very nice set!
What I don't like is the constant mixing of two completely different historical periods in the advertisements. 'Salamis' is definitely NOT medieval. Maybe DAZ should have a look at this:
"In European history, the Middle Ages or Medieval period lasted from the 5th to the 15th century. It began with the collapse of the Western Roman Empire and merged into the Renaissance and the Age of Discovery. The Middle Ages is the middle period of the three traditional divisions of Western history: Antiquity, Medieval period, and Modern period. The Medieval period is itself subdivided into the Early, the High, and the Late Middle Ages." (Wikipedia, Middle Ages)
Sorry, this had to be said, too.
Except the category was "Getting Medievil", not Medieval. So they may have you on a technicality.
The battle of Salamis was 480BCE, Rome was sacked by Alaric in 410CE - that's almost 900 years of getting.
The second battle of Salamis occurred in the summer of 1983 in my friend Anthony's deli in Greenpoint, Brooklyn... It was historically refered to as "That stupid fight you two had with salamis in the kitchen", but actually only one was a salami, more of a dry hard Tuscan type, but mine was definitely a Soppressata... The battle raged on for over five minutes until a large stack of pots and boxes were knocked over. To this day no markers or plaques mark the site and few know of its impact on the history of NYC or the world in general... Which is non existent, but did teach me the tactical futility of using cured meat as weapons... Although I did briefly consider making a suit out of sliced salami, I never considered making armor out of it... The main reason being the statistically high probability of me eating my outfit. Being this has nothing to do with the nature or point of this thread, I will end this now.
pepperoni vs salami :)
Man, the meat wars...
LOL. The things I learn from reading DAZ forum posts. That cannot be unseen! =0
And people complained about the "meat dress."
It's the meat that beats you!
I'm just going to resist that one..at least out loud.
Wow... That was not what it looked like... That's like naked silent hill... I'm mentally scarred now. Uh... But good work there Will... Good disturbing work.
Oh, that's not my work, just random thing I found online. Heh.
