I don't know, it may be worth trying. I was asking diagnostically - and I was going to try a Blender export myslf, but aparently that has now dropped Collada export (in favour of GLB, which DS doesn't support as far as I can see).

Have you tried FBX, if that is an option? The DS FBX importer has had a lot of work done to it.

Most collada files should load, however their Opacity settings are the reverse of what DS needs, so most load invisible, they also load in "mirrored" so the normals are now pointing inward.

    1.  I can Import FBX files

    2.  Bejaymac - "Most collada files should load, however their Opacity settings are the reverse of what DS needs, so most load invisible, they also load in "mirrored" so the normals are now pointing inward." Is there anything in DS that I can do to reverse this?

    1. Tools>Geometry Editor
    2. Right-click>Geoemtry Selection>Select All
    3. right-click>Geometry Editing>Flip Normals of Selected Polygons

That won't fix the UVs being backwards

Need to scale it -100%, if it sits right in the scene then use scale x -100%, if it's back is to the front of the scene then scale z, if it's upside down then scale y.

You then need to export it an an OBJ to lock the changes in place.

True, I was just addressing the reversed normals bit of the quote not going back to your full statement.
