Two questions about shadows
Is it possible to create an object that never casts shadows and is it possible to create an object that shadows don't fall upon?
For example, if I wanted to put something like the sound effect of an explosion on the render "BOOOOOM". How do I get the text to not create shadows and not have shadows fall on the boom? https://www.daz3d.com/comic-kit does it. I want to know how to do it from scratch.
And I mean entirely within Daz. I could easily use an image tool to add text to the resulting render. I want to do it with the geometry of the text following the view from the camera.

If you look at the way the light goes in the "real" promos showing scenes it is likely that the shadows will be out of sight, and probably quite soft, so they won't be noticed. You could do multiple renders, or use Canvasses with multiple node groups to control what showed in which, or you might be able to get somewhere with the help of Creating a "Ghost Light" - Daz Studio 4.21.1.26+ - Daz 3D Forums
I know how to make a ghost light. I've explained the process to others many times. That isn't what I want. And rendering more than once I've done since the first couple renders I ever did. I already have those solutions. I'm hoping for "neat and tidy" solution.
"There's no neat and tidy solution" is a perfectly fine answer. I just want to know if there's something in Daz that I'm unaware of.
I'm not aware of any one-click or one-button options. Though a post render script might perhaps be written to do the stacking of canvasses, and another script to set up the needed canvasses in the first place.
I ended up doing it in GIMP after the render. Thanks.
