Thank you very much, Jan.
As for software developers...
You're welcome. :-)
LOL @ your photo! He looks like he has angry people skills.
I cannot recall a time when there has not been hostility/strong opinions on the forums, though the worst I ever saw was around the time of Genesis and the huge fracture in the market between DS and Poser users. The vitriol went to new lows that I hope we never see again. I can see though how even the current forums could wear someone down. But ironically, you also showed the upside in this thread. I am glad you decided to come back -- you have sparked some insightful threads and you have a succint way of describing segments of your workflow/tips. If the whim ever hits you, a tutorial/walk-through of your workflow would no doubt be very useful and insightful.
Heh, my workflow... a bit more like running around the house with Kermit arms.
'Hey, here's a cool character/object I want to use. Boring by itself. Maybe put a monster in it. And magic or something. Texture looks like ass, let's fix that. Find a pose that's close enough, now tweak tweak tweak, render! Crud, that's clipping. Tweak tweak tweak. Render! (repeat a dozen times) Man, this lighting sucks. (more tweaking)
Ok, put the render in gimp, fiddle with levels, done.'
Com'n mate shout him a beer and stop being such a tightarse
How dare you copy my workflow, sir! ;)
On the other hand, it's good to know I'm not alone in how I work.
Hi timmins.william, I am also someone who doesn't post so much who is glad you are staying
I agree with Jan19, you fit in with those who are pillars of our community around here; there have been many times your posts have helped me out. I appreciate very much that there are those like you and others with the ability and know-how to test new things and then explain your results to the rest of us who may not have a clue as to how to begin.
There will always be people who don't see things the same way or do things the same way, we don't all HAVE to be the same, what a boring world that would be! And there are a few who are rude and negative and I guess just try I am also one of the McGyver fans lurking around the forums - greatly love his posts as well, and now I have the mental image of little sweaty fuzzy catepillars with capes and vampire teeth running about...
Anyways, thanks for staying and I hope you continue to post your artwork and your results at trying new things... -Cathy
You are appreciated!!!

I'm another who mostly lurks around here, but I enjoy and appreciate your posts. I'm also glad you are staying.
Don't go, Will. I think I speak for many others when I say that your comments have been shown to be knowledgeable, creative and helpful to many of us. In any environment such as this one, there are always those who can't mind their own manners for the sake of blathering. Know that you are now one of them, and you would be siincerely missed.
The tutorials and documentation are way too simple, and a lot of pages have no info at all. ..
