Blender T.V. Studio (DAZ to Blender Edition) is the new name for our system. We rebranded from FAST Animation Studio Tools so we could start charging you less for the add-on. Check the new price at ourr store page, and you'll agree — you are getting a much more advanced system for a very fair cost. We have added over 20,000 lines of new code since the original DAZ Store release, and the system is now far more powerful.

We have also fixed a large number of issues and made major optimizations across the entire add-on. We are currently completing a full overhaul for the next update, including upgrading to Blender 5.1 with Python 3.13.9 (up from Python 3.11), and converting the add-on to Blender’s new extension system for faster load times, easier installs, and significantly reduced error risk. This new system allows Blender to handle all dependency management automatically, making the add-on more stable and easier to maintain across platforms.

As a result, Mac support will be much easier to deliver — once the 5.1 upgrade is complete in the next few days, we expect Mac compatibility to follow shortly after, likely within a couple of weeks or sooner. After Mac is complete, if there is demand, we will begin testing and upgrading the add-on for Linux as well.

 

Built-In A.I. Video Generation

We also added a full video generator built directly into the add-on that uses your personal Runway API Key. That means you only pay Runway, there are no overages from us, and you get a top-tier image and video generation system built directly into Blender. We’ve got Text-to-Video, Image-to-Video, Video-to-Video, and even Image-to-Image, which uses Google’s Nano Banana image editor and supports up to 3 reference images, plus 4K upscaling.

After you run a fast parallel render using our AWS Parallel Render System, 250 frames in about 12 to 20 minutes, you can add up to 10 seconds of new footage with almost no work. You can add effects, new characters, or new backgrounds to video renders you’ve already made in Blender while leaving the rest of the footage the same. You can even take single-frame renders of perfect Blender scenes and feed them into the Image-to-Video generator to create upgraded video content that strongly uses your original content as reference and helps you create the ultimate videos.

You can also create brand-new images with Nano Banana using up to 3 image references, which can be renders or any image at all, and then use those results to create Image-to-Video generations or anything else you want. The sky’s the limit. We like to take iRay renders from DAZ Studio of the same characters used in our Blender renders and use them to enhance our Cycles renders so they look like iRay, with no extra work involved.

    FAST bundles and uses Diffeomorphic API, Our add-on keeps it installed for you so the Diffeomorphic panels are always available. that means all of the features of the add-on are always available and shell behavior follows what’s described there... Using their API we upgraded their import system heavily, You could automatically add lip-sync animation on import and mixamo animations on import for instance... and we also made the import DAZ materials button they offer quite a bit better as now it works on multiple objects... We also provide extra functionality for creating Blender morphs in Daz easily and tons more stuff... Anything you would like to know just ask we provide over 600 operators that improve literally everything in Blender... In a nutshell the DAZ import system is awesome that we offer but we improve literally everything that you do after that and allow you could create and render up to two minutes of scenes per day using DAZ characters which no other add-on does.AFAIK

    If the shells functionality feels confusing, I’m happy to help research it with you. Just tell me which DAZ characters you’re using and the effects you want (e.g., overlays, stacks, special materials), and I’ll read up and make sure this will work for your case.

  • Okay but I don't see an answer to the question about Geografts anywhere. Can you tell me if it exports those too like Diffeomorphic?

    Hey there—first off, I’m really sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I’m building out documentation (lots of folks have asked for it), working on a Mac version, fixing a few add-on errors, and recording another tutorial for the DAZ store page. Would you mind shooting me a quick email at [email protected] to double the efforts here? I’m going to do my best—every time I get a forum message I’ll put it where I’ll always see that I’m currently communicating with someone. I also want to say I’m a bit new to this kind of thing, so thank you for your patience.

    OK, about this part—can you tell me if it exports those too like Diffeomorphic? We bundle the Diffeomorphic add-on so you have full capabilities of that add-on.

    And we’re not opposed to writing code to give you a better effect. For instance, with the L4N4 model that you get from DAZ—that robot that you get—it wasn’t looking right in Blender because our import system wasn’t importing it with the shells, so we wrote some code and now it does. So we could likely do that if you come up with some sort of way we could improve our geograft experience.

    And I do want to clarify that I assumed that you were asking if our add-on exports geografts like Diffeomorphic. But essentially, our add-on is like four add-ons in one: you have our main FAST add-on that has 600 buttons that improve literally everything in Blender; then you have the full Diffeomorphic add-on, which has 300 buttons and all the capabilities of that; then you have a pro version of the Mixamo add-on, which we upgraded to Blender 3.6 when Adobe didn’t, and which is more reliable and adds more features like a bulk Mixamo downloader—so you have all the capabilities of a pro version of Mixamo; and also we bundle R OK OK add-on, but we turned it into a Mixamo to DAZ retargeting panel. So you see, you get all these features. And just to note, we bundled the Diffeomorphic add-on because they offer an API, which means a way to call their functions easily in programming code, so we bundle the Diffeomorphic add-on so we could do that easily.

    I'm not sure if you saw the actual post but I did mention about the geograph support in the last one basically if a Diffeomorphic supports it then we do... And again sorry about the long wait if you want to send your email address to [email protected] then I'll send you my personal phone number and I can help you right now... Doing a forum post like this especially when trying to juggle all these responsibilities isn't really efficient and then you can call me and I can help you with your questions... Sorry I didn't think about that before... I used to do customer service work with AT&T and am currently fine tuning my approach to owning a business and realize that would be quite a bit easier just to approach it like that.....thank you for being patient with me on this... And please realize if anybody else has any questions here then they could just go ahead do the same thing.

    you answered my question! The thread history looks weird here because when I commented on my question and the bump response on PC I did not see anything about geographs in it (it is there now) unless you edited it to include the geograph information after both of my responses.

    Anyway, doesn't matter you have fully answered my question now thank you for that and I am probably going to purchase this ad on. Thanks for telling me it was a bundle of some tools. I'm familiar with already! Long-term, do you plan on keeping these lock step with Diffeomorphic? In other words, if there's any edits to Diffeomorphic (for example) will those get updated in this bundle?

    Thanks, I’m glad I was able to answer your question. If you decide to purchase, I think you’ll be very happy with the add-on.

    Regarding Diffeomorphic: we typically bundle a tested version that may be a couple of weeks to a month old. This gives us time to verify everything works smoothly, since Diffeomorphic updates often and we don’t want to risk breaking workflows. That said, in the DAZ Studio tab of FAST Preferences you’ll find a one-click option to install the latest Diffeomorphic development build at any time. If you run into any issues after upgrading, just let us know and we’ll get it sorted quickly.

    And to give you some perspective—FAST isn’t a static tool. We’ve been improving it every single day for the past 2½ years. Because it’s built as a production pipeline, we’re constantly coding inside Blender: adding operators, tweaking functions, fine-tuning behaviors, and catching little things (even just print-statement quirks in the console). That’s just how we work—Blender for us is essentially a live coding environment, so updates and improvements are always ongoing.
