Strand based hair.

Is working with dforce strand based hair hard to work with? Can it be simulated the same time with dforce clothing?

    Hello there,

The best way to simulate dforce cloth and dforce hair in one scene is to simulate the clothing first, then simulate the hair on top.

Check out the last part of this video tutorial I made back in the day:

It shows you exactly how to do it.

    Hope this helps!

That all depends on what your expectations are and what you are trying to achieve.  Some strand hair doesnt even simulate.. its just pretty high def hair.   I think just like with all things Daz, its going to take some practice and possibly some frustration depending on what you are looking for.  I have an old strand hair thread here that may be helpful too.  The hair has come along way since I wrote this, but general stuff still applies.  https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/380281/chevybabe-s-dforce-sbh-hair-thread/p1

I now only buy strand-based hair. It is more expensive, but can look gorgeous. Also, really interesting to play with the render quality of the hair. Makes a big diff for polygon hair, I found
