all the animation is, started with images

  • I join my Original Characters for a crazy ai edited and animated 3D rendered image and iPad footage montage

  • I love all of your work here.  This is so much fun!!

I created the Ice Dance from "Edward Scissorhands" and animated it :)

  • awesome

mine were actually all short clips, I  just joined them all together rendering the last frane for each mp4 as an image in Blender (but any video editor will do) and reuploding them one by one or using my PC version of Wan to join them

unfortunately I updated Pinokio and now I cannot get stuff to work

support is all on X and I won't rejoin that site since I left when it was sold

might need to bite the bullet and either use ComfyUI or a paid online service

    meanwhile there's 3D

the anti Ai sentiment is getting to me too, while I see it as an agnostic tool, others don't like me using it on my work and it's cost me friends online

I am so sorry about your Pinokio woes.  I've committed to myself to spend the first half of 2026 exploring using AI to help with 3D modeling.  Unfortunately, it means installing or otherwise accessing even more apps that might be problematic.  Hoping you get your situation sorted out quickly.

I may take another look later, it might be the external drive type, ran into that issue with Forge

it's not wanting to see my Nvidia GPU as it's not running  my main monitor for numerous reasons

I manually chose it in the control panel which mostly works but not this update

    tried 3X

    uninstalling, reinstalling changing stuff

given up, it won't work with the old versions either

    meanwhile

am doing 3D, converted my OC Zynk Zydian to G8 using the G9 version shape to create a morph, crashed D|S a few times doing it but looks the same, all facial animations work no mouth eye weirdness as many morphloader imports have from other generations, the G9 mesh good that way for transfer utility as can just use the skin to fit the G8 mesh to before dialing in shape, converting it to a prop with base resolution for morphloader.

(yeah off topic as no Ai involved)

will try to get all the generations like I did Kimata, have her in G1,2,3,8 and 9 now

Wendy, thanks for posting that you had issues with Pinokio 5. I was about to "upgrade". Unlike you, I have a pretty standard installation, but if all the support is on X I'm out of luck if I have any issue with Pinokio 5 since I don't have an X account, and won't create one. That also explains why I couldn't find much about the new version except on X, and the only installer is on X.

Do you know if you can install the new version and keep the old version? Will the new version "honor" the apps/models installed with Pinokio 3.8 (i.e. use the installed ComfyUI, Wan 2.1, ect.)? TIA!

Sorry to hear your losing friends because your using AI. I find it rather amazing that some people are so over the top anti AI. I've had a few "discussions" with some anti AI people, and one thing seemed to be very clear with them. They really had no true idea what AI image generation really is, or even the slightest idea about how it really works (statistically based image creation process, not a collage of chunks of other images). They also would say they tried it (AI image generation), but couldn't make what they wanted, therefore no one could really guide the creation process, so all you get is random slop. Oh, the other thing was they all "know" so sort of programmer or computer expert who hated AI told them how it works (i.e. no real research on their own, just regurgitating what the "expert" told them). Anyway, I wish I had some real wisdom to share to make it easier, but I don't. I just think it's best for you to just do you. I don't think you have any problem just being you, I just want to reinforce that sometimes "fair weather friends" might not really be your fiends if they don't have your best interest at heart.

I tried going back to the older version without succes

trying Visions of Chaos now with no success so far in Wan2

some other apps work such as the TTS ones

I have limitations with my actual PC too being a Ryzen 3

online options looking like my only real choice right now

    meanwhile doing 3D

AI is just a tool Wendy.

When the camera came upon the scene people like your friends scoffed at Adam Ansel's photos, claiming it was not art.

The digital camera got similar replies from those using traditional film cameras and SLRs.

For a while digital art was greeted with revulsion from the traditional artists.

IMHO it appears many in the art sphere have a hard time accepting technological advancement.

It is your art, your vision.

Whether you use a pencil, paint brush, Nikon DSLR, 3DMax or AI, what should be judged and accepted is the end product which is a result of your vision.

The tools you used are only the pathway you took.

    Cheers and please take care...

Depending on the specs of your motherboard, it maybe compatible with a Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 of the same generation as your Ryzen 3. Or perhaps a new generation with a motherboard bios upgradde.

If you know the make/model of your motherboard, you can always check the spec and support docs on what CPU it is compatible with and what version of bios. Mobo manufacturers like Gigabyte, MSI, Asus, Asrock, Biostar, etc have very helpful websites.

I have not purchased a brand computer in 25 yers, prefering to purchase the parts from Amazon, Newegg, etc and assemble the computer myself.

I did server support (software/hardware) for several Provincial goverments when I worked in IT. Now retired since 2018.

    Cheers

    ...My computer died, so ...

as much Nvidia VRAM as you can get your hands on basically for Ai

...Wan2,2 out now and a LLM from OpenAi you can install locally no restrictions

... I haven't been using LLMs very much until two weeks ago.  I had just downloaded Ollama's llava model for local use when the crash occurred.  Only submitted a couple prompts as tests...

I don't think I have sufficient memory for the new one, I ran Llama before in Jan, but it stopped working

I hope the LLM didn't kill your PC...

You are wise, Wendy.  A tech person told me my computer death was probably due to my particular use of the LLM in a comfyui node.  When I told him what I was trying to do, he actually said to me, 'Were you using this graphics card? And was it that years old? And...?'  He went on to describe my setup pretty accurately.  Apparently, the hardware side of the problem was a gradual degradation of the power supply, which the LLM spiked. He said the slow degredation is expected, and that the big problem can be headed off by replacing the power supply.  I understood about half of it, so I may have summarized it incorrectly, but that was the gist.  Very much aligns with what you said.

I actually undervolt my card using MSI afterburner because my PSU is not powerful enough and I cannot afford big electricity bills either

I end the curve with a platau so the board never draws more than 200watts, mostly around 150 at most, 300 WILL crash my PC

Found out that the afterburner app works with NVIDIA cards.  Downloaded and will see if it's useful!

another video, I never could render this animation in DAZ studio

images took 15 mins each using all my VRAM and that tunic always explodes in animations

I love the bottom render the best. Kind of reminds me of something one would see in the old "Heavy Metal" comic magazine. Moebius comes to mind.

    I think it is fantastic....

Is Heavy Metal still being printed?

    Thanks!

It's a web-based platform/service called civitai, I think it's stable diffusion based. The model used was Kling Video. I also got some help from ChatGPT to write the prompt as this was my first time doing anything with video.
