Installing two versions of Daz on two seperate drives

With the newest update of Daz 4.24, I'd like to have the new version, but keep the old version (with 3Delight) installed as well.
Would it cause problem to install the new version, along with the DIM, on an external drive, while keeping the older version of Daz (+ another install of the DIM) on my internal hard drive? I'm planning to maintain separate product libraries, so assuming everything is pointed at the proper directory, will this cause any problems?
In a related question: is Daz Studio 2025 Alpha part of the newest 4.24 update, or is a separate program?

If you just want to keep using 3DL with the current DS version, let's say 4.24.0.3, you don't need to bother installing the latest version 4.24.0.4 because the only change in 4.24.0.4 is removing 3DL plugin, nothing else ~~ no new function, no bug fixed... etc.
But if you DO want to installl the latest version, yes, you can install it to another drive / directory. But a much quicker way is to replicate the application folder of 4.24.0.3 under C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D, change the replicated folder name to DAZStudio4 4.24.0.3. Then update DS in DIM. In this way, you don't need to install plugins, migrate DS settings, etc. to DS 4.24.04. installed on another drive / dir.
As for DS 2025 Alpha, it's fully new version which is irrelevant to DS 4.2x, DS 2025 is DS 6.x developed on Qt 6.x
If the Daz Studio 4.24.0.3 packages are backed up and Daz Studio 4.24.0.4 is installed, the following files from the 4.24.0.3 package can be extracted to their respective locations in the 4.24.0.4 install to have 3Delight in Daz Studio 4.24.0.4:
Windows:
- bin/cppdl.exe
- bin/dsm2tif.exe
- bin/hdri2tif.exe
- bin/ptc2brick.exe
- bin/ptcmerge.exe
- bin/ptcview.exe
- bin/ribdepends.exe
- bin/ribshrink.exe
- bin/shaderdl.exe
- bin/shaderinfo.exe
- bin/tdlmake.exe
- dz3delight.dll
- plugins/dzdelightrenderer.dll
- plugins/dzscriptedrenderer.dll
macOS:
- bin/cppdl
- bin/dsm2tif
- bin/hdri2tif
- bin/ptc2brick
- bin/ptcmerge
- bin/ptcview
- bin/ribdepends
- bin/ribshrink
- bin/shaderdl
- bin/shaderinfo
- bin/tdlmake
- Frameworks/libdz3delightdll.dylib
- plugins/libdzdelightrenderer.dylib
- plugins/libdzscriptedrenderer.dylib
Comparing the manifests from the two packages, one could also create their own IM plugin package that consisted of just these files for posterity
It isn't true to say there are no bug-fixes in 4.24.0.4, see http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/change_log#4_24_0_4
