Can't register Decimator

in Daz Studio Discussion

I put in the serial number from my account, the green tick shows its been accepted, restart Daz, no Decimator. says it is unregistered.

I have tried abou halph a dozen times, even uninstalled Daz and Decimator, reinstalled them still the same thing.

Am I doing something wrong?

    How did you install it? Using DIM or via Daz Connect (installing the product within Daz Studio itself). Some scripts and plugins have issues when installed via Daz Connect and so it's best to use DIM for those.

    Hmm. Well, I don't know how the register part actually works but it sounds like perhaps Daz is not able to save the preferences during shut-down. I assume you have waited for Daz to fully shut-down before restarting it back up and that you are also doing this in Daz 4.x and not the 2025 Alpha which won't work with plugins currently.  So perhaps there is either some permission issue or anti-virus that is blocking the save of a file during shut-down? When you uninstalled Daz did you also delete the application folder?  I believe that uninstall will retain your config/preferences and so there may be some read-only config lurking there.

    Two Things I hadn't considered. Will try them later and post how I got on. Thank you.

    A plug-in cannot be installed through Daz Connect
