Looking for scripts
I have a recenter script. Is there a axis align script? The script would take the active view and rotate/translate everything so that locations straight away from the view are on the Z axis, left and right are on the X axis, and up/down are on the Y axis. The camera/perspective would be the new 0,0,0. (Although an advanced version could set origin to a selected object, I suppose. Additionally, a dialog could allow other axes assignments such as distance = Y, up/down = Z, etc.)
Another useful script would create a camera using the current viewport, whether or not that was another camera, a spotlight, or the perspective viewport.
Finally, a script to set defaults when a new camera/light/iray plane node is created would be nice. First thing I have to do with any camera/light is set the FOV opacity, sight line opacity, etc. I hate the defaults. Can't really see them at all. Or is there somewhere I set this in some INI file that Daz uses?
Thanks to all suggestions in advance.

I don't know if there's an existing script that can do these but I believe such a script can be written.
You don't need any script because you just can do it within : Create a New Camera > Options > Copy Active View <.....>, no matter your active View is a Camera, a Spotlight or Perspective View.
You can just save a Properties Preset with a Camera selected that has the customized settings of FOV opacity, Line opacity, etc... then add the Preset to Script menu and/or Toolbar. Each time after you create a new Camera, run the Preset shortcut.... Check this thread : https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/9339636/ The settings you need are shown in the attached screenshot.
I don't want a new camera for the reason listed below. But given what you said below....
This works. It's too bad the create camera dialog doesn't have a "run script" option so it could be automated. :)
Thanks
