Fesoul dForce hair issue

I have two of their dForce hairs. They simulate normally when the character subd is set to 0.  If I increase subd to 2 or 3, the hair extends and don't simiulate. If I set character subd to 0, simulate and then freeze the hair siumulaition, it flys away when I incrase subd.  I doesn't see this sort of behavior on the OOT dForce hair I have.  Any suggestions?

    Better name the hair products that you used.

  • Strand based Modern Bob Hair and Strand based Curly Bob Hair ..   It seems to be related to having dForce clothes on (even with them frozen)

    I couldn't reproduce the issues with the hairs that you named.

    Is the character a heavily-customized one ?  Usually, dForce clothing shouldn't affect the simulation of these hairs. What'll happen if you remove the clothing items from the figure? 

  • If I go to an uncustomized figure and remove the clothing it works.  But it reverts as soon as I put things back ono.. oh well...

  • For what it's worth the issue crops up when I'm using Luthbellina's HD Skin Details.  

  • Could you please upload your scene file or provide the specific item name? If you can't reproduce the problem, it will be difficult to solve what you're seeing.

    Normally, the character's skin won't affect the hair dforce function. However, the way clothing models and hair penetrate can potentially create new problems. But it depends on the specific situation; usually, adjusting the parameters correctly can effectively solve the problem.
