Anyway, today I received the DAZ email with subject line, New: Essential Micro-Brends. What's could that be..the product shown is described as New: Essential Micro-Blends. ??? Then, I click and come to the store and its HD Essentials Micro Bend for Genesis 9. Micro Bend. OK. Then I look at the main store page, image attached, and its BLEND again. and on the main shopping page for today. WOW DAZ..proof read your stuff.

well, they've corrected the main DAZ store page, but when you click to go to the today page, its still wrong. Psy attention to detail?
It's corrected on the sale page too: you likely saw it while they were fixing it after fixing the banner.
I haven't cleared my brower's cache history, so may I'm still catching the old image. I checked the Daz3D home page for good measure and I can confirm that the mis-spell has been corrected there.
A picture is worth a thousand words. I had to take that screeshot because it reminded me of a woman waking to the fresh, envigorating aroma of coffee. It's a new day. Oh joy! Shake off the lethargy with a swig of coffee microblend. Ahhh.
As our friendly neighorhood AI would have it ...
Cheers!
Maybe Totte will make one for next April's Fools. :D
How long has it been since there's been an ad without some issue at launch? Swapping Bends and Blends is sloppy enough, but Brends isn't even a real word. I'm beginning to wonder if they not even laying out the ads until they're actually in the process of uploading the files to the store.
And yeah, in this case it's really annoying because Micro Blends sounded really useful.
I promise I am NOT a DAZ Apologist, but the upside spin of this particular thread is that we have come to EXPECT pretty good overall spelling and grammar from DAZ so that when they do something like this it merits attention, and even ridicule. ;)
I nearly spit my food while reading this and laughing, haha
Well, using Brends and Blends sure got a lot of extra clicks + discussion. Clever if intentional.
...says the man with several typos in his own posts! ;)
if you're talking about my original post, only one that's more grammatical than spelling.
I think the reference was to things like "Psy attention to detail", and perhaps not capitalizing the word "I", and omitting capitalization on the first word of the sentence, like the "i wouldn't go" and "well, they've corrected".
Everybody knows what you are saying, but I guess it was ironic to criticize a practice that you emulated.
And in line with your first post, today was the second day in a row that Daz referenced the wrong PA getting a 20% discount for their free item of the day. Both days it was corrected later, after I pointed it out in the reporting thread. I can't remember the last time a Daz ad was written accurately, with correct grammar and spelling, all restrictions properly divulged, and offers that actually worked as advertised.
I thought daveso was being (Googles a suitable word that encompasses irony and sarcasm) satirical maybe?
he doesn't capitalise his own username
like you
That could be possible.
There is history to my name being lower case, but that history is so old I don't even remember it anymore. I do remember why it is barbult, but not why the lowercase.
Believe it or not, I did see those errors when I first wrote and thought, yeah, perfect example.
