Technically, I have no punches today. No green gift icons showing on the webpage anymore, just red # 1, 2, 3. Monday I had 3 punches. And I made no purchases yesterday. But I noticed that if I put any item in the cart, I still get a 25% discount. And I am Daz+ so it seems that I still get a 2 punch discount, which is 25% off, even though my punches indicator have visually dissappeared. So I really don't know what they mean by Punches reset. Everything appears to be working exactly how it did last year. Which I am happy with!
Hmm, weird. I have reported this, and the other person at the bottom of the last page, in case it is a bug (maybe a cool bug for you right now, but it may have negative unintended consequences too).
I found all this quite confusing. It took a few days to realize the Advent Calendar offerings are "inspired" by my wishlist.
I usually only add items I really want onto my wishlist. But I gave in and added numerous items that I might actually want.

today's freebie for me was a $20.95 82xxx sku and the cheapie was a $16.99 91xxx sku. I have 2 punches marked off and am premeire if it helps determine if the selection is indeed "better".
So far nothing has been from my wishlist, nor anything I would ever buy or at least need. Too many G8F characters, no matter how nice they look. Can't count the number of G1, G2, G3, G8, G8.1 and no V4 and below characters that I have not installed on my new computers. I don't want a repeat of what happened during the G8 era.
Yesterday my freebie was a 20.95 G8F dress and the paid-for was a 18.95 makeup set for G8.1F
Today my freebie was again "worth" more than the paid for item - 20.95 G8F clothing vs 16.95 HDRI set.
(All six so far were from my wishlist - though to be honest I did beef it up a lot with DOs last week just in case, most of which were things I wouldn't pay money for but might easily use)
Yesterday, free item was $17.95 with SKU in 70k, and I forgot to record what the other one was, but something with similar price and SKU.
Today my free item is $20.95 with SKU 70k,, and my paid item is 16.95 with SKU 85k.

Similar. I'm getting things that I won't likely buy unless heavily discounted and there's another incentive (cheap item to get a token or use a code), but I'm happy to get them in the calendar.
I've three punches (as of this morning).
All Advent paid-fors have all been from my Wishlist - my Freebies have been off WL (but then I don't have a big list) However, yesterday I got the freebie because I paid for the Dark-Skins Lyoness figures instead.
I spend around the same amount every year ($10 a week or less) and, during this sale $2.99 a day with a little bit of a slurge every now and again (like today).
Today my Advert paid for was: Gorgon Hair for Genesis 9 90254 (23.99 full price) - from my WL and I was delighted
So delighted that as well as that, and the "Better than Daz" for free and the "Freebie Heater" I picked "Julius 9 HD Character Bundle" from the "Artist Stores promo" for 90% off using a token and the $6 Daz+ coupon

All my advent calendar offerings have been from my WL so far, which is really cool. And I much sppreciate the calendar thingie anyways, even if it's been reduced in range, so to speak. It's a lovely idea nevertheless.
I always take the free option. and so far, I've had Chairman Outfit Sku 62715, Noir Detective Props Sku 83059, and today I'll get the Steampunk Ostrich Carriage Sku 78954.
As a general principle, I don't like being punched. And I have received no more punches since this violence started.

Not one item on the advent calendar is an item I would buy, much less put on my wish list. I guess my issue is I buy what I like and ignore the rest.
You are commenting on a forum that literally explains how to set up your wishlist so you only get stuff you care about. If you haven't followed the advice it gives and only have 20 Daz Originals on your WL, then I'm not sure what the complaint is. The Advent Calendar can't read your mind and give you exactly what you want (especially when you've just said how particular and discerning you are)

Both freebie and paid are at base price $16.95 today, and SKU are 58k and 84k respectively. Both on my wishlist. (I don't expect that to change.)

Very cool! I had a couple of those in previous years, where I WL'ed something from a lightning deal and it showed up a day or two later.
I wish you could go back and see what your paid offer was after you check out. I forgot to get the stats for mine before I got the freebie (this is what happens when I shop before coffee, clearly.)

From my offereds, I'd say $25 full price and <93000 is probably a decent profile to select from
So far 3 of my 4 items on the 'free' list have been a $1 or less recently, but i've taken all 4 so far as the 'paid' item has been less than 2.99 before, or is something I don't care for at that price point (i.e might get one day but not at 2.99 price).

Same here. My freebie is Martin J Frost's plants (and it's always a delight to get more of them), SKU 59k/base price $16.95, and my paid is SKU 92k/base price $24.99 that would be useful.
I would lean toward the plants, but like you, if I get the paid one, it counts toward punches, and neither today's deal nor the D+ product appeal to me, so it's either this one or an outlet item again.
