The “2025 Holiday Sale” includes a freebie, Code 66 Christmas Freebie which consists of 2 tools:
The “Advent Calendar” (daily throughout December) can offer a choice between a freebie and another item for $2.99. But it’s not clear what the requirements are to qualify for it. You probably have to have made a recent purchase. The selection in the advent calendar is influenced by what is in your Wishlist.
There is also a sort-of freebie (you have to have made a purchase each day over the previous 3 days, or 2 days if Daz+ member, or 1 day if Premier): Marius HD-8K for Genesis 9
The Fab marketplace (which tends to be focused on 3D for game engines like Unreal and Unity), gives out 3 “limited-time free” items a couple times a month. The new batch were just released and include 2 items of potential interest to Daz users.
Converting from Unreal assets requires installing the free Unreal Engine, and a bit of work. This article covers some ways of doing the conversion: “Exporting from Unreal Engine to Godot, Unity or Blender”.
Day 2 of the Daz “2025 Advent Calendar” is up. The selection is affected by what’s in your wishlist. Availability is probably affected by whether you have recently made a purchase on the store.

A heads-up to anyone taking advantage of the 3dShards advent calendar:
For items that have two tiers (free and premium), the free version will disappear from your downloads the next day. I contacted the admins and they said this is a feature, not a bug. So make sure you download it the day you get it!

New batch of twice-per-month freebies from Fab. Note that these are usually in Unreal or sometimes Unity, Godot, Blender, or generic 3D formats, so will require a little work to convert for use in Daz.
With Fab freebies, you can choose a Personal or Professional license. I always switch to the Professional license (since it’s free and gives you more).

This is the cutest little village! Thank you so much for telling us about it! I used an online convertion app and now have everything in OBJ. Brought it into Daz Studio, addeed all of the colors and some emmissions in the windows.
It really looks like a little train village. Precious!!!
I attached a test render. I might not have all of the shaders right. I did use an ice shader on the river. The snow texture has a problem that needs to be corrected, but I wanted to show the village anyway :)
